Chapter 27: Just an Act

"Thisbe! Thisbe! Look!" Pyramus ran towards Thisbe who is feeding her pet rabbit. 

"What is that?" 

"Close your eyes first" 

"But--" Pyramus already closed her eyes with his right eye. 

"Don't open yet huh"

"Okay" Thisbe replied smiling.

"Done. You can open your eyes" Pyramus held her arms and made her face him.

"You look so beautiful my Thisbe" 

"What?" she felt the thing on her head. "What is this?"

"Come here" Pyramus bring out a mirror. 

"Wow! It's beautiful" she was dazed when she saw the head crown made of white flowers.

"No. You are beautiful" Pyramus said smiling at her.

"Are you the one who made it?" 

"Yes. And it suits you"

"Thanks Pyramus" 

Pyramus held her hand. And he looked straight to her eyes.

"Thisbe. Promise me. When we grow up, we'll gonna marry each other"

She seems shocked. And her tears suddenly fell from her eyes. 

"I swear"

And they grew up. They grew up loving ech other. However, their love was forbidden. Their parents were dead against them marrying each other.

"Huh?" Thisbe exclaimed when she saw a letter on her window. She looked at it and unfold the letter.

"Thisbe. My Thisbe. Remember during our childhood days? We'll gonna marry each other. We promised each other. If you are still willing to grant that promise, I'll wait at our meeting place. I love you my dear Thisbe. From your beloved, Pyramus"

Thisbe is crying while reading it. Again, Pyramus proved how much he loved her. When it is already evening, when everyone is asleep, she sneeked out of her house.

She put on her favorite veil running away to her loved, Pyramus.

"I think I am too excited to be with Pyramus, forever" she said smiling. She is looking around to see if Pyramus is already coming.

*ROOOOAAAARRRR*

"W-What is that?" she followed where is that noise coming from. She was shocked when she saw lion. His jaw was bloody indicating that he just eat his prey. Scared, she run and hid on the bushes. But as she ran, she left her veil.

The lion heard her shriek. It followed her and found a veil. It picked up the veil by biting it. 

"Thisbe!" Pyramus shouted when he saw the veil of Thisbe on the lion's bloody jaw.

"I'm certain. That is her veil! Nooo!" he knelt. Devastated by what happened, he stabbed himself on his chest with his sword. "I love you Thisbe. We'll see each other soon" he whispered to himself.

"I think the lion is gone" she whispered to herself behind the bushes. She happily went out of the bushes. 

"Noooo! PYRAMUS!" she cried as she run towards him.

"Who did this to you? Is it someone? But it is your sword. But no. No matter what. We'll see each other soon" she get his sword from his chest and stabbed herself on her chest. She died on his chest holding his hands.
