Later on, nearing the afternoon. The bright sun has almost reached its peak.
Many residents are on the beach and in the waters.
Tonowari and Jake have gathered the troublesome teens together on the beach.
Aonung, Tsireya, and Rotxo are to give the older Sully kids another lesson. The kids are lined up in front of them, awaiting instructions.
Neteyam is next to Aonung, with Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuktirey on the other side of him.
Jake hands each of the boys their hunting gear, while Tonowari announces their task.
Tonowari- While Aonung and Rotxo take the Sully boys to hunt, Tsireya will continue Ilu training with the girls. Stay within the reef, and keep an eye on each other. Understood?
The kids nod their heads in response, and Tonowari gestures for them to head out and get started.
Kiri and Tuk happily follow Tsireya into the water. She calls for her Ilu, and Kiri calls for hers.
Tuk climbs onto the back of Kiri's Ilu and holds on. Tsireya watches the boys prepare theirs to head out.
Tsireya- Be kind, Aonung.
Aonung- Me? What about Rotxo?
Tsireya- He only follows your lead.
Aonung looks at Rotxo, and the younger boy just shrugs, not denying a thing.
They venture out into the reef, Tuk cheering as she rides fast with Kiri.
The boys find a spot nearby, and each dive into the water with their weapons. Rotxo starts a friendly competition to see who can catch the most fish.
While Aonung hunts for himself, he notices Neteyam aiding in Lo'ak's game.
After a short while, they each resurface, attaching the fish they caught to the saddles on their Ilu.
Rotxo- I got three.
Aonung- Five.
Lo'ak- Seven.
Neteyam holds up the one fish he had time to catch on his own, and gives an awkward smile.
Lo'ak- Ha, I win.
Aonung- (scoffs) Only because of your big brother.
Lo'ak- Don't be a sore loser.
Aonung- Loser? I can beat you one-on-one.
Lo'ak- Let's test that theory.
Aonung- Okay, champ, I'll challenge you outside the reef.
Lo'ak- You're on.
As Lo'ak climbs onto his Ilu, Neteyam grabs his arm.
Neteyam- Don't do this.
Lo'ak- I can handle it, bro.
Neteyam- No you can't.
Lo'ak- If you're so worried, just come with us. See firsthand how skilled I am.
With a sigh, Neteyam climbs onto his Ilu. The boys begin to ride towards the edge of the reef.
While Tsireya is chatting with Kiri on their Ilu, Tuk notices the boys straying away from them.
She quickly taps Kiri's shoulder, earning her attention, then points toward the edge of the reef.
Tuktirey- Where are they going?
Kiri- Looks like the boys are seeking trouble again. Should we follow them?
Tsireya- Yes, but only to bring them back.
The girls race after the troublesome boys, out of the reef and to the Three Brothers rocks.
They pull their Ilu near the shore. Kiri and Tuktirey walk onto the beach to wait while Tsireya goes into the water, looking for the boys.
Kiri looks up at the darkening sky, filling with grey clouds. There's a low rumbling in the distance that worries her.
Tuktirey notices her expression and grabs onto her hand.
Tuktirey- What's wrong?
Kiri- We need to hurry, or we'll get caught in the storm.
Tuktirey looks into the distance as the winds begin to pick up, and the rumbling continues, getting closer every few minutes.
