On a familiar rocky cliff spot, Neteyam has followed the still seething Aonung away from others. The marine boy is shaking, pacing still, hardly able to sit down for even a second.
Neteyam knows his lover's anger is usually handled by being suppressed to prevent reckless actions, it's how the boy was taught. But he also knows that the last time Aonung was this angry was when he was forcefully mated by Mo'dan, which led to that boy having a scar across his chest.
Aonung had completely lost it that day, and though Neteyam wasn't there to see it, he still fears what such an outburst looks like on his normally controlled marine boy.
He keeps trying to think up a way to handle this situation without angering him more, and so far he's only come up with one decent solution; To let Aonung pace, shake, and curse until he can't anymore, and as he does Neteyam will keep an eye on him.
So, he takes a seat on a rock, and waits.
Shore- Aonung!
Not even a minute after making his decision, they're interrupted by Shore barging onto the scene with Talon, speaking harshly.
Neteyam quickly stands from his spot and approaches the boy before he gets any closer to Aonung with his friend.
Neteyam- Hey, back up.
Shore- Move it, you don't know what you're doing.
With unnecessary force, he shoves Neteyam onto the ground, earning Aonung's attention. In his current state, he wastes no time coming after Shore, but Talon quickly jumps in his friend's place, starting a fight.
Neteyam stands from his spot, about to aid Aonung, but Shore grabs his arm, holding him back.
Neteyam- Get off me! What the hell do you think you're doing?!
Shore- The best way to handle Aonung is to let him fight it out.
Neteyam- No it isn't!
Neteyam frees himself from Shore's hold with a short hiss.
Neteyam- Call him off.
Shore- No.
Neteyam- You're only making things worse.
Shore- I beg to differ. Aonung combats anger with anger, it's who he is. All this suppression shit is what's eating at him.
Neteyam- No, it's what's eating at you.
He shoves Shore back a bit.
Neteyam- You hate seeing him different, and better, with someone else. You're jealous, and now you're trying to take over.
Shore- Look at you, just as cocky thinking you hold something over me. Well, it goes both ways, forest boy.
Neteyam- Oh I doubt that.
Shore- You shouldn't. I have the pleasure of knowing both versions of him, and I know that eats at you.
He steps up close to Neteyam's face, daring him to do something about it.
Shore- I've known him for far longer than you. You can't even imagine what he was like as a kid, or even just a month before your family arrived.
