With a shaky breath, Lo'ak places himself next to his friend again, looking down at the water. He takes a moment to collect his thoughts before explaining himself.

Lo'ak- I've been getting this strange feeling when you smile at me, or laugh. At first I didn't think anything of it, but this past week, it's gotten stronger.

Lo'ak looks up at Rotxo, listening intently with an expression he can't read.

Lo'ak- Every time you're near me, especially when we're alone, I get that same feeling.

He takes in another shaky breath.

Lo'ak- I think I like you, Rotxo. Like, a lot.

Rotxo sits wide eyed once again, and Lo'ak begins to lose himself in the boy's eyes again.

Lo'ak- So much. Your smile, your laugh, your personality . . . and those eyes.

He subconsciously begins to lean closer. Rotxo notices, but doesn't move.

Lo'ak- They reflect my own. You understand me better than anyone.

Rotxo finds Lo'ak's hand slowly moving against his cheek, and he takes a breath.

Rotxo- Lo'ak-

Lo'ak- Rotxo . . .

Lo'ak's hand rests towards the back of Rotxo's head, slightly pulling him closer as he leans in. Rotxo finds himself staring into those captivating golden eyes.

Rotxo- Lo'ak, you're with Tsireya. You like her.

Lo'ak- Yeah, I do like her . . .

He rests his forehead against Rotxo's, and stares into his eyes.

Lo'ak- But I see you.

Rotxo lets out a shaky breath, holding himself back. He's been forming an accidental crush on the boy this passing week, but ignored it, not wanting to hurt Tsireya in any way. But when Lo'ak brings their lips together for another short kiss, he can't resist anymore.

Rotxo locks their lips again, and they move against each other in a rhythmic motion. When they break, Lo'ak pulls Rotxo onto his lap, straddling him, and they continue to kiss with Rotxo's arms around his shoulders.

He undoes Lo'ak's ponytail, and runs his fingers through his braids. They continue like this, with Lo'ak's arms wrapped around Rotxo's waist, holding him close.

Once they break again, Rotxo cups the boy's face in his hands as they catch their breath after the heated kiss.

Lo'ak stares into Rotxo's eyes, intoxicated by the way the smaller boy makes him feel.

Lo'ak- Rotxo, make tsaheylu with me.

He freezes, hardly believing what he's hearing.

Rotxo- Lo'ak, you sure you want to do this? With me?

Lo'ak- I see you, Rotxo. I want you to see me too.

With one deep breath, Rotxo nods, and grabs his bond, Lo'ak doing the same.

Lo'ak- You ready?

Rotxo nods, and they allow the ends of their bonds to connect, immediately feeling the flow of each other's entire being.

Lo'ak suddenly sees a vision.

A very young and small Metkayina boy, who's all alone in an abandoned village. He sees glimpses of the boy attempting to take care of himself.

He is nearly eaten when searching for food on land, and is nearly killed when trying to hunt in the ocean.

It goes on like this for what looks like a couple years, but he is found by someone else.

A boy a bit older than him.

After miraculously surviving on his own for that long, the boy is taken in by Ronal, and his suffering finally comes to an end.

Once the vision ends, Lo'ak's pupils return to normal, and he sees Rotxo looking into his eyes.

He wipes a few tears from Rotxo's face, and gives him another sweet kiss.

Lo'ak- You will never be alone like that again, I promise you.

Lo'ak wipes a few more of his tears, and he gently grabs his hand.

Rotxo- Lo'ak, I see you.

Lo'ak smiles, and hugs the smaller boy tightly.

But as Rotxo rests in his arms, he suddenly remembers Tsireya. His girlfriend. The sister of Aonung, the strong future clan leader that would literally kill him if he hurt Tsireya.

He said before that Lo'ak wasn't good for her, and if he finds out he's right, there's no telling what he might do to him.

They can't let anyone know about this. At least, not before he figures out what to do with Tsireya.
