On his right, Mo'dan stands with a smirk, filling a shell of his own. He attempts to walk away, but the boy grabs his tail, making him turn around with a hiss. Mo'dan quickly lets go, holding his hand up.

Mo'dan- Easy, I just want to talk.

Neteyam- There is nothing I wish to talk with you about.

Mo'dan- Look, I understand. You like Aonung, I do too. Unfortunately, he seems to like you a lot more.

He eyes Neteyam up and down, shamelessly, while sipping his drink.

Mo'dan- Though, I can see why.

Neteyam rolls his eyes, and gives him a disgusted look.

Mo'dan- I was kinda starting to like you, until I found out you're trying to steal my mate.

Neteyam- Well, even though he dislikes you, he's still yours. By force, but it's not like I can change that. So unless you just want to keep rubbing it in, leave me alone.

Neteyam turns to walk away, but a handful of his braids are pulled back as Mo'dan stands uncomfortably close behind him.

Mo'dan- Tell you what. I'll let you off the hook, if you spend a little time with me.

Neteyam- What?

Mo'dan- Mhm, I'll act like he's not even mine. You can have him, for just one little session with me.

Neteyam- Why would you want that?

Mo'dan- I didn't want to be, but I'm pretty smitten by your looks.

He splashes his drink into Mo'dan's face and the boy releases him, wiping his eyes. Neteyam turns to face him with a scowl.

Neteyam- You're disgraceful. Trying to cheat on your mate.

Mo'dan- He cheated first, with you no less. I just want to make things even. Plus, I said I'd leave you alone afterwards, it's a good offer.

Neteyam- No it isn't. I refuse.

Mo'dan- Listen, half-breed . . .

Mo'dan steps closer with a snarl behind his words.

Mo'dan- I don't have the patience for this. I need a distraction, and whether you like it or not, I'm either getting with you, or Kiri tonight. I don't think you want your sister to get used, so you have until the party is over to change your mind.

The tall boy storms off, leaving Neteyam with an unfair decision to make. With a heavy sigh, he refills his shell and immediately begins drinking it, hoping after a while it'll relieve him of having to think. He wanders over to the dens, walking along the woven pathways until he finds Aonung and Spider sitting with their legs dipped in the water.

He plops himself next to Aonung with a huff, and takes a long sip.

Aonung- Woah, slow down, or you won't last long.

Neteyam- Fuck off.

Aonung and Spider glance at each other in a bit of concern, then look back at the suddenly angered boy.

Aonung- What's wrong?

Neteyam- Leave it be.

Spider- Come on, Tey, you know we can't do that.

Neteyam- You can, you just won't.

Aonung- Did something happen? Is that why you took so long?

Neteyam- Aonung! . . . Please, just leave it alone, for now.

Aonung- (sighs) Fine, but you should still slow down.

Neteyam- Not gonna happen.

The two concerned boys look at each other once again, wondering how they should even proceed. But their concerns are interrupted by a bit of commotion that sounds like it's getting closer. Aonung instantly recognizes the sound of his sister's voice.
