A short distance away, Aonung and Neteyam are sitting up in a tree.

Neteyam tried teaching him to hop from tree to tree, trying to help him outdo Rotxo, but he kept falling.

Now, they're taking a break, and Neteyam is watching the marine boy examine his hand and arm with fascination.

He runs his smooth hand along Neteyam's arm, feeling the texture of his stripes, and observing how thin it is compared to his.

To distract himself from the heat he gains from Aonung's touch, Neteyam makes conversation.

Neteyam- Rotxo has really found himself, here in the forest.

Aonung- I can't believe he called me overprotective.

The blue boy chuckles.

Neteyam- You're still stuck on that?

Aonung- I'm not overprotective.

Neteyam rolls his eyes, and lifts Aonung's face up by the chin, looking him straight in the eyes.

Neteyam- Yes you are.

Aonung averts his eyes and moves Neteyam's hand away to continue observing the boy's skin closely, making Neteyam laugh.

Neteyam- I don't mind it, though.

This catches Aonung's attention, and Neteyam smiles at him.

Neteyam- When you go a little overboard trying to look out for me, I think it's sweet. And, like I said before, it's something no one else does for me. I'll always appreciate it.

Aonung feels his face beginning to warm up, then he remembers something.

Aonung- Now that you mention it, there's something you need to work on.

Neteyam- And that is?

Aonung- Your temper.

Neteyam- My temper? I barely have one.

Aonung- Neteyam, I know you hide how you really feel about things, to please your family.

Neteyam- No I don't.

Aonung- You do. You hold your emotions in. You probably have been for years, and I know it's probably second nature for you now, but you will explode if you don't stop.

Neteyam pulls his hand away from Aonung and crosses his arms.

Aonung- Don't pout.

Neteyam- I'm not pouting.

Aonung- Yes you are. I know you don't want to think you have a problem-

Neteyam- I don't have a problem.

Aonung- You didn't snap at your brother just because of this situation we're in now, you did it because that hold on your true emotions is breaking.

Neteyam- My emotions are well balanced.

Aonung- Not for long.

With a slight hiss, Neteyam averts his eyes. Aonung simply sighs.

Aonung- That night you told me to help you, you knew you needed it. So I'm not letting you pout your way out of this.

With an exasperated groan, Neteyam finally faces Aonung and uncrosses his arms.

Neteyam- Fine. What should I do?

Aonung- First, just let it out.

Neteyam- Let it out?

Aonung- Everything you're holding in, let go of it. Feel the way you want to.

Neteyam thinks for a moment, then without warning, smashes his lips against Aonung's, and starts a heated session.

It's not exactly how Aonung meant for him to release whatever he had pent up, but if it works for Neteyam then he won't stop him.
