Out in the forest, Neteyam is leading the two younger boys towards Awa'atlu. Though, Rotxo still has no idea what they're actually doing or where they're going, he's just following.
Soon they can hear the ocean, but not yet see it. Rotxo jumps down from a tree branch, landing next to Lo'ak whose hunched behind large leaves on alert like his brother.
The smaller boy still isn't sure what's going on, until he hears the battle cries of Metkayina.
Rotxo- No way. We're here to fight?
Neteyam- Only the ones that make it to the forest.
Rotxo- There's no way they'll make it past our warriors.
Neteyam- Humans are slippery, believe me, someone's bound to get through.
Rotxo looks at Lo'ak who nods in agreement.
Neteyam- But don't worry, we'll be waiting for them when they do.
Lo'ak- They really won't get far with Neteyam on 'em.
Neteyam- Wait here.
Neteyam walks up to a tree and scales it quickly, and heads to the top, out of sight. Rotxo looks up at the tree, curiously.
Rotxo- What is he doing?
Lo'ak- Scanning the field, and locating a weak point in our formation.
Neteyam suddenly drops back onto the ground, landing on his hands and feet. He stands, then points in a specific direction.
Neteyam- They'll probably make it through that way. I'll fill you in on the plan, then we'll get into position.
Lo'ak and Rotxo follow Neteyam's lead as he walks in the direction he pointed to.
Rotxo- What's the plan?
Neteyam- I'm working on it.
Rotxo- And the positions?
Neteyam- You and Lo'ak in the trees, I'll take them from down here.
Lo'ak- By yourself?
Neteyam- Rotxo may need your help, he's never fought them before.
Soon, Neteyam stops, and looks up at the trees, then around them.
Neteyam- Here. This is the spot.
He looks at the two boys, ready to explain their plan, but Lo'ak's worried expression stops him.
Neteyam- What is it?
Lo'ak- We needed another man.
Neteyam- Aonung is the future chief, we can't put him in danger.
Lo'ak- What about Rotxo?
Neteyam- He has skills that you taught him . . .
He places a hand on Lo'ak's shoulder.
Neteyam- And I trust you to have my back, brother.
Lo'ak- Always.
With a nod, Neteyam begins to explain their tactics, and gives Rotxo pointers.
