Aonung is suddenly pushed back as Mo'dan switches positions with him, and takes his knife, holding it above the boy with a battle cry that draws the attention of warriors nearby.

His father sees what looks like nonsense and starts running to them, screaming out questions.

Ko'nan- Mo, what the hell are you doing, boy?! Get off of him!

Neteyam quickly locks his arms around Mo'dan's neck to pull him off, but the stolen blade glides across his face, right before he's shoved away, falling right into Ko'nan as he reaches them.

As Mo'dan holds the blade high again, a few warriors suddenly tackle him, and drag him off of the clan's future leader. He fights against them with every bit of strength he has while spouting utter nonsense.

Aonung stands slowly, watching the scene in awe, and knowing exactly what he's doing.

Mo'dan- Unhand me! I fight for the sky people! We will win!

He breaks free with a burst of strength and tackles Aonung back to the ground, holding his knife out and preparing to harm the boy.

Just as he lets out another battle cry, an arrow is suddenly shot through his chest, immediately halting his noise and making Aonung's heart drop with a sharp pain.

As he watches Mo'dan's quickly dying body fall over onto the ground, an unfamiliar face is revealed.

A boy, with a warrior's build and a crossbow, looks down at him with a relaxed expression, and the most striking green eyes he's ever seen.

He begins to sit up, with sharp breaths and trembling arms, and glances down at Mo'dan's now lifeless body. There was much resentment he felt for what this boy had done to him, but he still never thought he deserved death.

His attention is drawn to more commotion near him, seeing Neteyam hold Ko'nan down and speaking to a few warriors, likely telling them what he's done.

His treacherous plans to assume power. The way he used his son. The way he made the boy do things he knew was wrong.

Mo'dan wasn't strong enough to refuse his father, but that wasn't on him. Nothing was his fault. He acted as if he wasn't the boy Aonung knew anymore, before, but now he knows that obviously wasn't true. He just sacrificed everything to set him free again, which is exactly the kind of person Aonung knew him to be.

So this is what it means to give your all for someone.
