Neteyam allows his brother to pull him out of the den. Rotxo and Tsireya exchange a look before both follow the Sully boys. Jake sighs as he watches his sons walk off, then looks to their visitors.
Jake- Sorry about that.
Cin'lan- It is no problem, people often react to him this way, but I do not think he can help it.
Ronal- It's alright, I'm just glad to know Aonung will be fine.
Yune- The boys all have troubled orbs.
This brings a bit of concern to the surface of his mother's face, but confuses Ronal and Jake.
Cin'lan- All of them?
Yune- (nods) Especially the now unmated one.
Ronal- You said Aonung was fine.
Yune- He is.
Ronal gives him an odd look, but doesn't fret over it. She assumes there may be a disturbance within him because of the bond he just lost, since it would deeply affect anyone, even though he claims to have had no love for Mo'dan.
Cin'lan- May I ask if those kids have any troubles?
Ronal- Nothing too bad, but they do always seem to find a way to bring discord amongst each other.
Jake- It's practically a skill at this point.
Jake sighs just thinking about the many things his children get into that he has to deal with.
Cin'lan- And this happens often?
Ronal- They are just a troublesome bunch, there's no stopping them.
Jake- Damn sure wish there was though, but I'm not even convinced it'll get better as they age.
Cin'lan- Hmm. Describe these problems to me. Perhaps I can be of help.
As the teens walk around the village, searching for Aonung, Neteyam steadily grows more and more frustrated, and it doesn't go unnoticed.
Lo'ak- Okay, let's break for a minute.
Neteyam- No, we have to find Aonung.
Lo'ak stops, and pulls Neteyam back by the arm to keep him from moving forward. He snatches his arm away, but Lo'ak grabs it again and turns him to grab the other one.
Lo'ak- Neteyam, look at me.
Neteyam rolls his eyes, and looks elsewhere, still searching.
Lo'ak- Look at me.
With a sigh, Neteyam finally meets his gaze, with a bit of an attitude.
Lo'ak- We're taking a break.
Neteyam- For what? We just started looking.
Lo'ak- Neteyam, you've been pissed off since you came and got me and Rotxo. I know what I did couldn't have angered you that much. What's wrong?
Neteyam- Nothing.
Lo'ak- You know that's not true.
Neteyam- No, there's nothing wrong with me.
He pulls his arms out of Lo'ak's soft grip, but remains standing in front of him.
Neteyam- I don't have time for there to be anything wrong.
Lo'ak- Tey-
Neteyam- I've been focused on my own shit too long, that's how all this started.
Lo'ak exchanges a look with Rotxo, both knowing what the problem is.
Neteyam- You and Aonung were fighting and I wasn't even there to help you. I exposed things that were meant to stay secret, and got Aonung into trouble, as well as myself, and I wasn't there to stop you from getting into your own trouble-
Lo'ak- Yeah but-
Neteyam- And I was really gonna kill Mo'dan, then I was glad that I didn't, but now he's gone anyway, and the amount of relief that gives me is just shameful-
Lo'ak- Neteyam!
Neteyam halts his rambling, and Lo'ak gently pulls his forehead to his, helping to calm him.
Lo'ak- Stop being so hard on yourself, bro, you aren't responsible for everything.
He releases him, and Neteyam releases a calm breath, but he still feels a bit distressed.
Neteyam- But I-
Rotxo- Aonung told you not to burden yourself with everyone else's problems, and has helped you deal with your own.
Neteyam- But he has his own problems to deal with now.
Tsireya- Which is why you have us.
Tsireya places a comforting hand on his shoulder, and Rotxo gives him a reassuring look.
Rotxo- You always try to run to everyone's aid, but you can't help anyone if you don't help yourself.
Lo'ak- Let's sit down, to talk.
