He wishes he could tell her, and everyone else, so badly. But knowing that Aonung is still keeping that one horrid fact a secret makes him refrain from saying a thing. As respect for his privacy.
Having had enough of this argument and the topic altogether, however, Neteyam walks off with a frustrated sigh. Leaving Kiri to wait for Lo'ak, and going to look for his brother himself.
He knows him well, and knows there's a higher chance the boy won't return without convincing. So, he'll go find him and do just that.
As he exits the den, Mo'dan quickly hides himself and watches as he heads toward the beach. He takes a look around, thinking hard about places Lo'ak and Rotxo could simply disappear to without anyone seeing them.
Then a thought comes to mind.
He makes his way to the edge of the forest, but stops before entering, and turns around. Seemingly looking at nothing, but knowing someone is there.
Neteyam- If you're here for revenge, at least let it wait until I find my brother.
Responding to his unphased request, Mo'dan reveals himself and walks up to the blue boy.
Mo'dan- You don't seem scared at all.
Neteyam- I've seen you climb a tree, I have nothing to worry about. Now, what do you want?
What does he want? Certainly not to kill the boy whose body makes him feel some type of way. But that's his mission, so he has to. He could get away with his father's task in the forest, so long as it's staged well.
Mo'dan- I want to help you.
Neteyam looks at him with genuine confusion.
Neteyam- Why would you want to help me?
Mo'dan- Not specifically you, but Lo'ak and Rotxo.
Neteyam- Why?
Mo'dan- Look, what we have going on has nothing to do with them, I just want to get them back to the village like anyone else. So, truce, until we find them?
He would rather not be in Mo'dan's company at the moment, but it's safer to travel with someone rather than alone. Especially as far as he's planning to go.
Neteyam- Fine. Keep up.
Eagerly, he follows Neteyam into the forest. He catches a smile on his face, and mentally slaps himself for being happy Neteyam chose to bring him along. He isn't here because of his own wants, he's here to do as his father instructed him to.
Though, that doesn't stop him from staring, and Neteyam is quick to snap at him for it.
Neteyam- Quit watching me like that. Look where you're going before you trip or something.
Mo'dan- Sorry.
