Ronal turns her gaze to Jake, and he walks up to his son, telling the warriors to release him. They do as told, and Neteyam stands, a little unbalanced. Fighting against the warriors shook him up and made him dizzy.
Jake- Why did you do it?
Neteyam squints at his father for a moment, then looks to the side notices Aonung watching in front of the crowd.
Neteyam- Unfortunately, I can't tell you, because he does not will it. The asshole.
He points at Aonung and everyone looks at him. Ronal looks at him with deep confusion.
Ronal- What is this about?
Aonung- I . . .
He glances at Mo'dan, then sighs.
Aonung- I can't say.
Neteyam- See? Fuck you, Aonung.
Neytiri's eyes widen in shock at the way Neteyam is acting. Jake, on the other hand, uses every fiber in his body not to laugh at the intoxicated boy in this serious situation.
Neteyam- Fuck you, and your dumbass mate.
Ronal- Mate?
Aonung facepalms with a groan, while Ronal stares at him, awaiting an explanation. The intoxicated boy suddenly feels a wave of sickness.
Neteyam- Dad, I feel sick.
Jake- Go let it out in the forest.
The suddenly ill boy starts stumbling back towards the forest, holding his stomach.
Ko'nan- Hey! What about my son!? He tried to kill him, he should be punished!
Ronal leaves Aonung be, for now, and has Ko'nan help the injured boy to her den. But not before telling her son they'll discuss the topic of his mate later.
As the crowd clears, all celebrating officially done for the night, Jake retrieves Neteyam and everyone heads to their dens. Neteyam ends up falling asleep the moment he lies down.
Since Lo'ak already received a full lecture from both of his parents, for fighting, they allow him to turn in for the night without any interruption, then both Neytiri and Jake go to visit Ronal.
Unfortunately, the troubled boy can't sleep. He also can't discuss anything with his brother, because he's out cold.
So, he lies there with only his own inner thoughts to speak to. Which doesn't last too long.
After another moment of restlessness, he decides to get up, and go out for a stroll. He makes his way to the beach, just watching the ocean with his mind running wild.
Rotxo- Lo'ak.
His ears perk up, and he turns around and sees Rotxo jogging up to him, his braids flopping around. When he reaches him, he gives a sorrowful expression.
Rotxo- Couldn't sleep?
Lo'ak- Not at all. You?
Rotxo- I never tried. I can't go back to the den, they probably hate me right now.
Lo'ak- (sighs) I'm so sorry.
Rotxo wraps his arms around Lo'aks waist, hugging him, and lies his head on his chest.
Rotxo- Me too.
Lo'ak holds his mate close, contemplating.
Lo'ak- I feel like they're always gonna hate us now, or at the least be bitter till the very end.
Rotxo- I don't want to live like that.
Lo'ak- . . . Maybe we don't have to.
Rotxo looks up at him, confused.
Rotxo- What do you mean?
Lo'ak- We could leave.
Rotxo- And go where?
Lo'ak- The settlement in the forest. Just us, away from everyone who disapproves. And if we decide we want to come back, we know the way.
Rotxo- Are you sure?
Lo'ak- If it means living blissfully with you, I'm up for anything. Are you with me?
Rotxo- Of course I am, but . . .
Lo'ak- Hey, if you don't like it, I'll bring you right back.
The smaller boy smiles, and the two continue to embrace each other for a moment longer.
