Tsireya remains on the beach with Rotxo, who joins her as she gets back into the water, letting Wari down to swim. Aonung also joins them, sitting in the shallows with a wince as he goes down.
Tsireya- Maybe you should rest in the den.
Aonung- I can deal with a little pain, it won't kill me.
Tsireya- How does your head feel?
Aonung- Normal. What have you been up to while we were gone?
Tsireya- Looking after Wari, and helping mother. She's been really focused on preparing for any further challenges because of the sky people.
Aonung- Have they come back?
Tsireya- Not here, but a messenger from another village showed up last week saying the sky people were lingering near their island. They haven't taken any action yet though.
He hums in response, and watches as Rotxo plays with Wari, moving his tail around to give him something to chase and work his little limbs.
Tsireya- Mother said I should learn to fight.
Her words come out a bit abruptly, and Rotxo's face drops.
Aonung- To have you go against the sky people? Not happening.
Tsireya- I don't think I have much of a choice.
Aonung- But you don't need to be out there, I can do it.
He stands from his spot, with yet another wince at the pain of his wounds, then treads off to find their mother. Tsireya looks at Rotxo, asking a silent question; What did Aonung forget?
Rotxo- The Sullys.
Tsireya- (gasps) Even Neteyam?
Rotxo- Yeah . . . I could hardly believe it.
Tsireya- What about you and Lo'ak?
Rotxo- Forgot what happened, but I haven't been able to remind him of our relationship.
Tsireya- Why not?
Rotxo- That older boy, Na'haji, has been in his face every chance he gets. Makes me feel like he let Aonung get bitten on purpose just so he would forget Neteyam.
Tsireya- But he couldn't have known what memories would disappear. Plus, you think he would purposely bring harm to someone he likes?
Rotxo- (sighs) I know it's ridiculous, and isn't true, but he's shown no respect for what Aonung and Neteyam were and I just can't get over that.
Tsireya- Neteyam hasn't done anything about him?
Rotxo- No, and it worries me.
Tsireya- Should we check on him later?
Rotxo- Let's just give him some space for now.
