Back in the village, Neteyam and Yune have already returned, having left for home because the Sully boy hurt his leg while playing too much with the predator they were distracting.
Yune is in the Tsahík's den with him while Cin'lan stitches the cut on his leg.
Cin'lan- You must be more careful. Your parents will not like seeing you return home injured.
Neteyam- It's fine, I've been through worse.
Cin'lan- But still. Yune, how could you let him get hurt like this?
Yune- He can still walk, mother.
She shakes her head at her son hinting that she's being dramatic. Once she's done stitching, she rubs a cream on the wound, then wraps his leg with bandages.
Cin'lan- Stay here and rest it for a bit before continuing your day.
Neteyam- Okay.
Cin'lan- Sorfé should be back with your siblings and Rotxo soon.
He nods, and she leaves the den to go back to stocking up her materials for any injured hunters that may return. Usually she ends up treating at least three or more. Upon Neteyam and Yune's arrival, Sorfé was sent to inform Lo'ak, Kiri, and Rotxo, which Neteyam said would lead to them wanting to see him.
Yune- That wound is well deserved.
Neteyam- I honestly think I agree with you on that.
He knew better than to position himself in front of the creature without his Ilu, but he wanted to tempt it and didn't think much before he made the move. Of course Yune had told him the idea was stupid, but he was already set on doing it, thinking he was faster than he really is.
Yune- You must be a pretty good warrior though, laughing in the face of danger like that.
Neteyam- (chuckles) I'm the mightiest. Well, in the forest at least. In the water, I'm still working on that.
Yune- I can tell.
Neteyam- Is it really obvious or are you reading me again?
Yune shakes his head at his humor, and Neteyam waits to see if he'll smile again, but the sight isn't granted.
Yune- My brother will probably scold me for letting you get hurt.
Neteyam- Not like it's your fault though.
Yune- I intend to tell him just that, but I will still be in trouble.
Neteyam- You're strange, you know that?
Yune- You can hardly talk, mighty warrior.
Neteyam chuckles, glad he's found a way to get along with this boy he disliked at first. Just as that thought crosses his mind, Sorfé returns with the others. Kiri runs to his side, checking him for any other wounds even though she was already told there was only one. Lo'ak rolls his eyes at her and sits in front of him with Rotxo.
Lo'ak- How bad does it hurt?
Neteyam- Not too bad. Feels better than the bullet did.
