Once they're closer to the edge of the forest, they land, setting their Ikran free, and walk the rest of the way.

Lo'ak keeps his eyes on Mo'dan the entire time, but the boy does nothing to harm Neteyam, and once they reach the village, he leaves to handle his own business.

First place they head to is home, and Rotxo tags along with them. As Neteyam leads them into the den, seeing Jake and Neytiri having a conversation, Kiri comes from the back and points out their presence.

Kiri- They're back.

Jake turns and looks directly at his youngest son, making him shrink a little and grab his mate's hand.

With a sigh, and a stern look, their father steps towards them, and kneels down, motioning for them to sit in front of him. Lo'ak releases Rotxo's hand and sits on his knees, with Neteyam doing the same next to him.

Jake- Where was he?

Neteyam- At the clearing.

He hums in response, and momentarily looks at Rotxo nervously standing behind his boys.

Jake- First, the nonstop fights. Then, defiant behavior from both of you. And just when I think things are calming down . . .

He gestures to his oldest son.

Jake- You're out here trying to kill for a guy who's already taken. While not looking after your brother . . .

Then he gestures to the younger one.

Jake- Who went out and got a mate without letting anyone know. Behind his girlfriend's back.

The two boys sit in silence, keeping their heads held low.

Jake- This is why I always tell you to look after him. So I can at least get a heads up when shit like this happens. And I didn't think you needed supervision but apparently I was wrong.

He looks directly at Neteyam, and he glances up.

Jake- Did you know what he was up to?

Neteyam- Not before it had already happened.

He turns his attention to Lo'ak.

Jake- That ain't the kind of thing that needs to be kept secret.

Lo'ak- Well you know now.

Jake- I should've known before now!

Lo'ak almost rolls his eyes, thinking there's no use in yelling about it when he can't change the past.

Jake- When did it happen?

Lo'ak- When everyone stayed at the clearing.

Jake- You should've talked to us first.

Lo'ak- Why? So you could tell me not to? Because you don't think I can make my own choices.

Jake- You're young, Lo'ak. You aren't even old enough to drink yet, but here you are with a mate. That's the responsibility of a man, not a boy.

Lo'ak- So you're mad because you think I'm too young?

Jake- Lo'ak, don't make me slap you.

Lo'ak huffs in annoyance, but keeps his mouth shut.

Jake- You are too young, and on top of that, you don't have a shred of maturity.

Neytiri- Jake.

He pauses and takes a breath, knowing she wants him to ease up on his criticism. They previously discussed that they would help the young mated couple, offering guidance from their own experience.

Jake- But, your mother would like us to help you with that.

Lo'ak- Oh brother.

Lo'ak begins to roll his eyes, but he's interrupted by a smack on the side of his head from the one next to him.

Lo'ak- Hey-

Neteyam- You're getting help instead of punishment, skxawng, appreciate that.

Lo'ak- But I don't need any-

Neytiri- Lo'ak.

She gives him a glare, daring him to speak against her wishes again. He quickly clears his throat and loses the attitude.

Lo'ak- Thanks, mom.
