Back in Awa'atlu, Jake lands his Ikran on the beach, and is approached by many warriors, plus Ronal and Neytiri. He hops off the large creature and runs up to them both urgently.

Jake- I found them, they're headed in our direction.

Ronal- They are coming back? What for, to capture someone else?

Jake- No, they probably know who Aonung is, and are coming back to bargain. Your son, for my family.

Ronal hisses, angered by the sky people's tactics. She steps closer to Jake and looks him in the eyes with certainty.

Ronal- They will not have you.

Some of the warriors begin to murmur in disapproval. The safety of their next Olo'eyktan is the priority of their focus. Neytiri turns to look at them as their murmurs turn into loudly heard protests.

Their Tsahìk quickly turns to them with a loud snarl.

Ronal- Silence!

As the crowd quiets down, one bold warrior steps forward. His right eye is blinded by the scar he received from an ocean predator long ago. He is Ko'nan, father of Mo'dan.

Ko'nan- You must hear us.

Neteyam and Lo'ak walk out of the crowd with Rotxo, listening to the commotion. Ko'nan gestures to them and Neytiri.

Ko'nan- These people are outsiders. You would abandon our future to protect them?

Ronal- Tonowari died to protect them!

Ko'nan- But, Tsahìk-

Ronal- The late Olo'eyktan, my mate, made them Metkayina! They honor our ways, and I will honor my mate's wishes.

Ko'nan- But if you just give them to the sky people, we will have our young leader, with no blood shed.

Ronal tilts her chin up in sheer authority, glancing at the Sully kids, then back at the protesting warrior.

Ronal- This family belongs to us now. They are my people, and I will not let them be taken by demons.

Ko'nan- Then you abandon him.

Small gasps are heard in the crowd, and Neytiri snarls at him with a scowl.

Neytiri- You dare accuse this mother of abandoning her child!

The accused mother holds her hand up, looking at Neytiri with calming eyes, and Neytiri silences herself.

Ronal- I will not let them take JakeSully's family, but I will also not allow them to keep my son.

She turns away from the warriors to face Jake.

Ronal- Great War Leader. Toruk Makto. I assume you have a plan for rescuing my son.

Jake- I do, but you can't come with us.

She blinks, taken aback, but before she can verbally disapprove, Jake explains his reasoning.

Jake- We need the Tsahìk alive. I know you're strong, but we can't risk losing you too.

Ronal takes a moment to look around at the warriors, and the villagers behind them, who need her. With a sigh, she faces Jake again.

Ronal- Then so be it. What is your plan?
