Down the beach, Na'haji is gathering everyone to go over the rolls needed to stay well and alive. They don't have the support of a village, or the luxury of experienced adults to guide them. All they have are their own skills, and each other.
Somtra already has three dens ready with a fire and the curtains down to contain the heat. After checking in on him, Neteyam returns to the others and scans the crowd, noticing who's missing. He glances down the beach, but sees no one else coming.
Neteyam- What's taking them so long?
He wonders outloud, and Na'haji turns away from the others to face him.
Na'haji- Do you know what was wrong with Aonung?
Neteyam- No. Hold off on the meeting. Lo'ak is a known rule breaker and Rotxo is right there with him, they need to hear this. I'll go get them.
In a hurry, Neteyam jogs back up the beach, heading to the cave. Once he reaches the familiar scenery, he heads into the forest, and right there, in front of the cave, he sees a marine figure fighting aggressively with a blue one in the snow.
He quickly runs over to them, shouting at his brother and lover for fighting. Their cloaks have been discarded, probably unknowingly, and the adrenaline has dulled their senses to the cold, and apparently their pain. He can see red tainting parts of the white fluff along the ground, and running along parts of their bodies.
Neteyam wants to intervene, but has no clue where to put himself as the two beat each other senselessly. Sure they've fought before, they've always had a problem when it came to just getting along, but he's never seen so much rage on either of them.
Lo'ak knocks Aonung to the ground, trapping him with his legs, then pulls his knife from his waist, and Neteyam practically screams at him.
Neteyam- Lo'ak, don't!
With a sprint, he tackles his younger brother, knocking him to the ground, and the knife flings from his hand with their impact. He pins Lo'ak's arms down, then looks between him and the marine boy that stands faster than anything and runs off without his cloak.
Lo'ak- That bastard!
After watching Aonung in confusion, his gaze snaps down to his brother with a glare forming.
Neteyam- What the hell, Lo'ak?! Why were you fighting?!
Lo'ak- He remembers.
Neteyam- What?
Lo'ak- He remembers everything!
With widened eyes, Neteyam releases his brother, and stands up off of him. Lo'ak leans up and grabs his cloak, now feeling the cold around him since he was lying in the snow for a moment cooling down.
Neteyam- I thought getting his memories back wasn't possible.
Lo'ak- It is if he never lost them to begin with.
Neteyam- What do you mean? His memories were gone. He completely forgot about me.
Lo'ak- Or, he pretended to forget about you so he could go back to being the jerk he used to be.
Neteyam- Lo'ak, that's-
Lo'ak- Think about it, bro. Rotxo said he's always basically been a jerk, and he still was when we got here.
