Chapter 37- Collusion

*Chief Song POV*

Dr. Khan wasn’t letting go of his infatuation with making me uncomfortable, he was enjoying this too well. Fedor whispered to me before we left for the lab. “I am completely naked in this, do what you want with this information.” She was the Devil, I swallowed and glowered at her in warning not to try anything. She grinned in response and I wanted Khan to pull out his needle, which would wipe that knowing smirk off her face in seconds. Khan did whip out his needle which had the exact same reaction I had expected but it did not give me the satisfaction I thought I would have, instead I was almost as anxious as she was.

“Don’t look, it would be over in time,” I assured her.

“Yes, don’t look at the giant needle.” Dr.Khan had to be stopped.

Fedor glared at Dr.Khan, “You know you are not as nice as you look, Mr. Khan,” If it were anyone else, there would have been a possibility that not referring to Khan as a doctor was an oversight but not Fedor. She would never let go of an opportunity when she felt annoyed by anyone.

Fedor hissed and closed her eyes when Dr.Khan drew her blood. “It’s over, I told her after he was done, she eyed her blood through the syringe, I thought she was about to faint or feel queasy at the sight of blood.

“Are bloods usually this pink? I cannot believe I was afraid of that; it wasn’t so bad. I thought Blood was supposed to be red, is this healthy?” She was blabbering, I didn’t think it was cause for alarm. She seemed to be doing alright. “Is that it?” She asked hopeful about the answer.

“No, some scans and that will be it, you will be home free.” Dr. Khan said in a weird tone that made me suspicious and as it turned, I had every reason to be, three hours later and we were done.

Fedor was worn out, she was barely talking and behaved like a zombie. She had changed back into her clothes and we were on our way back to Khan’s office when she whispered behind his back to me, “You should consider changing your doctor. I have a feeling he is one of those science doctors that performs experiments on humans to see how far they can push the human body.”

I squeezed her shoulder, “I wouldn’t be surprised if he was, he has a shady past.”

“I knew it.” She narrowed her eyes at his back.

We got into the office to meet George, he hadn’t even bothered to change his uniform and he paid me no glance, his eyes were on Fedor who was staring back at him with curiosity. George smiled showing his dimple on the left cheek, and I wouldn’t lie, he was a charmer. “It is with great pleasure that I greet you today Miss Fedor.” What was with the gentleman greeting? I frowned.

“I answer with an even greater pleasure, Mr. George.” She gave him a sincere smile as they shook hands, I was surprised she was able to deduce who he was. They were taking their sweet time holding hands and exchanging glances. It was harmless, I would not be the kind of man who would get jealous simply because his girlfriend looked at another man much less give ammunition to George for him to tease over time. I am a cool-headed man and I am not temperamental at all, I will not … I broke their contact and glowered at him. George snickered and sat on Dr. Khan’s table like he owned it.
