Chapter 44: Punishments
*Fedor’s POV*
After another kiss with his head against mine, I asked, “Do you have a kink for watching girls fight?”
He laughed, “Shut up.” He hugged me again, “I don’t like fighting with you, it gives me a mini heart attack.”
“Me too.”
“The heart attacks.”
“No, just attacks. Haven’t you heard that I have no heart?” I teased.
He smirked then raised his voice a little, “If you want respect, you have to earn it!” I frowned and nodded in realization of why he had put up this little act, then he lowered his voice. “Seriously, you cannot do that, no matter how hilarious it looked. If you have any issues with him, the proper procedure is that you report to me. What you did was assault and could have consequences if it were anyone else.”
“You can be fired for this!” He raised his voice again and whispered to me, “You won’t be because you will apologize to Kora for this and write a letter to him expressing how sorry you are and how you won’t repeat it again because you have learnt your lesson.”
I frowned, “I will?”
“Yes, you have to.” He kissed the top of my head.
“All I did was pull his hair, he pulled mine back.”
“You started it and I was a witness.”
“It was worth it though, I’ll admit.”
He grinned and kissed my cheek, “I did not think you had it in you, I’ll confess.”
“There is a lot you do not know about me Chief.”
“We are back to Chief again I see.”
I chuckled, “I have got to pick my battles and now I would be moping for the rest of this trip and talking about missions, what is this one?”
I should have known better than to ask him, when his expression changed, I sighed internally. He folded his arms and stared at me, “Did you not listen to anything I had to say?”
“I was distracted, a certain person was mad at me and there was nothing I could do to ease his wrath. Not all of us can separate work from personal issues.” I mumbled.
“Is that what you are sticking with?” He frowned.
“It is the truth.”
He sighed, “We are going to Kumbassa, and we are escorting a missionary back home.”
“We escort people now?”
“Remember when I said I was under a different contract? This is one of those odd interventions. This missionary used to be a war hero and when she retired, she found Christ and the rest is history. She needs a simple route back to Kolanphur without fanfare or attention.” He summarized.
