A thousand years•••••
"It's seriously been that long?"
"It has to have been at least over a thousand years."
"This is-"
"A lot to take in."
The four sat in a circle, Edmund, Peter, Susan then Lucy, each staring at each other.
"Everyone we knew, everything we knew, is gone." Edmund whispered quietly. "It's not the same Narnia anymore."
Lucy looked on the verge of tears, Edmund wasn't that far off either. Susan was staring at the grass below, and Peter was so deep in thought that he hadn't said a single word in what felt like hours.
"This time's gonna be so different isn't it?" Lucy murmured quietly.
Susan nodded slowly. "Goodness knows what's coming and what we'll have to face."
Edmund took a deep breath. "I say we make the best of a bad situation. However we're here, and why we're here, can't be half as bad as the reason we were called here the first time, so we need to focus on getting off of this island."
Lucy fiddled with the dagger at her side, staring at her bright orange Narnian dress, feeling complete once again. "Edmund's right." She breathed. "We can't do anything stuck here, and we won't find anything else out just by sitting here either."
Susan took a deep breath. "Yeah." She sighed. "If there's a way off this island, we'll find it. Peter?"
Peter glanced up at her, staring at her for a long while before he eventually nodded his head a little. "Yeah um," He paused. "Let's just go for a wander then, see what we can find."
"Is he okay?" Lucy whispered to Edmund once they'd started walking, the two hanging back a bit.
Edmund shrugged. "It's probably a lot to take in. Cair's gone, the beavers, Tumnus, Orious, Narnia as we know it is no more." He sighed. "It's hit him hard."
Lucy nodded. "Well, I hope he doesn't do anything stupid." She muttered. "He's got a habit of doing that lately."
Edmund nodded slowly. "Yeah," He breathed. "I hope that too."
