"It means the world to me to watch you smile"
That's what he thought, but he wouldn't say it out loud, after all his brother would just shake him off and tell him to stop being so soppy.
But even if he didn't say it, he thought it, and he meant it with his entire heart.
After everything his brother had been through, seeing him happy for once, seeing him get along with his siblings after so long, seeing him acting like his old self meant more to him than he'd ever be able to describe.
After seeing the sadness for so long, the tears, the pain, the anger, the guilt, those years had been heartbreaking, so it was almost refreshing to see the new him.
It was a relief if anything.
Because Peter knew that Edmund deserved the world, after everything he'd been through.
