Kill me now•••••
"You're wasting your time." Edmund choked. "I'm not going to tell you anything so you might as well just kill me now."
The hag only laughed at him. "You will start talking, don't you worry about that." She hissed. "There's only so much pain you humans can take."
"If you think I'm going to betray Narnia, you've got another thing coming."
"You've done it before, so why not again?" The hag replied.
Edmund just glared at her, pulling against the shackles that held his wrists and ankles captive.
"I suggest you step away right. now."
Edmund smirked at the sound of that familiar voice, and couldn't describe the relief he felt when Peter stepped into view, the tip of his sword already at the hags neck.
"Perhaps I might take you up on that offer of killing you now." The hag growled at Edmund.
It was clear Peter wasn't going to even risk that chance, and the hag was dead before she could even blink again, leaving just the two boys.
"Thanks." Edmund breathed, smiling weakly at his older brother.
Peter smiled back, already dropping his sword and finding a way to unlock the chains. "You okay?" He asked fearfully.
Edmund nodded. "Just a few bruises." He replied truthfully. "I'm alright."
The second the chains were loose Edmund found himself in Peter's arms, but of course he'd expected it, so he just sunk into the embrace, glad that he was safe once again.
