April 21st
Remind me•••••••
"Okay, remind me again why we're doing this?"
"Well, why not?"
Edmund raised an eyebrow at his brother, unamused. "A three o'clock in the morning walk across the beach wasn't quite how I was expecting to spend my night." He pointed out.
Peter just shrugged a little. "Well neither of us could sleep so why just sit in bed when you can go to the beach?" He said.
Edmund couldn't help but smile a little, sitting down in the sand with a sigh. "I guess you're right." He murmured.
Peter sat beside him, stretching out his legs and letting out a content sigh. "Remind me that I've got that paperwork to finish tomorrow." He murmured. "Or I'll have everyone after me."
Edmund chuckled. "Like you'd forget anyway." He told him.
Peter shrugged. "I probably won't but," He laid down after this, staring up at the stars.
There were hundreds of them, and there wasn't a cloud in sight so they all shone brightly in the sky, as well as the huge full moon which lit up the night.
The word beautiful didn't do it justice.
"I could fall asleep here." Peter murmured.
Edmund lay down, "Probably not a good idea." He murmured, placing his hands behind his head and taking a deep breath. "Anyway, two seconds ago you were wide awake and complaining that you couldn't fall asleep."
Peter smiled and shrugged. "I told you a wander along the beach would work." He said quietly.
Edmund nodded a little. "I get what you mean." He breathed.
"Reckon we should do this more often." Peter said.
"Only when we can't sleep." Edmund said firmly. "Because if you ever wake me up in the middle of the night to walk across the beach, I will have to kill you."
Peter chuckled. "Don't worry," He breathed. "I wouldn't ever think of doing such a thing."
Edmund couldn't say he believed him.
