Lando

She was mine again and it felt strange to say.

I really did think I had lost her, the first three months I had hope. The forth I started to think about what I would do if she never came back, the fifth I read her book and all my hope came back again. However, after she didn't reply to my flowers I really thought that was it.

I thought she hated me.

I guess I had realised that everything was done at that point, but here I lay in the home we shared for the first time. Her naked body pressed up against mine as she slept on my chest, her messy hair covering her face.

I couldn't help but smile down at her. I never wanted to let go, not ever.

"Do you always watch me sleep?" She asks me, I can't help but giggle as she wakes and her eyes connect with mine.

"It's my favourite pastime" I lean down and kiss her forehead. She was gorgeous, genuinely the most beautiful woman I had ever and will ever see in my life. "Can I ask you something?"

"As long as it doesn't take too much thinking, I'm still half asleep" She tells me, I let out a small chuckle as I watch her rub her tired eyes.

"Will you come to Abu Dhabi with me?" I ask her.

It was the last race of the season in a few days, I would have to fly out tomorrow and I wasn't ready to leave her. Not after I just got her back, I needed to keep her by my side at all times.

I refused to lose a women I fought so hard to get back.

Meg sits up more, the cover drops leaving her breast exposed. God I was like a teenager when she was around, she turned me on so easily.

"That's a stupid question" She giggles at me, leaning down she presses her lips against mine for a second. "Of course I want to come, I guess everyone will be surprised to see us together again"

We never confirmed any form of breakup, I still had every post of her on my instagram. I didn't feel the need to delete them, she was still apart of my life and I won't delete memories.

There were rumours about our breakup, everyone basically knew it was true but no confirmation.

"I guess they'll just assume we never broke up"

"I wish we never did" She confesses, it breaks my heart that we lost six months of us. We didn't have the time we should of, we lost that but I sure as hell wasn't going to let her go now.

"We're back now baby" I tell her softly.

"I don't want to just surprise everyone, it will make me too anxious" She tells me, I didn't even need to think about what I needed to do.

I just knew that I had to do something to make her feel less anxious.

It was our first full day in our home, it felt strange to say but all I wanted was the little things. I couldn't wait to do small things like make diner together, we had never done anything like that before as we always got stuck in hotel rooms.

"So what are we making?" Meg asks as she gets up off the couch and heads to the kitchen. She jumps herself up on the counter as she watches me look through the fridge at the food we had bought earlier.

"I have no idea" I mumble as I look through for something.

I hear Meg jump down from the counter top, I look around as she snakes her arm around my waist.

"Let me do it" She tells me.

Meg spends the next twenty minutes in the kitchen, she wouldn't let me anywhere near the kitchen. Telling me that I had to stay in the living room so she could surprise me.

I can't help but keep my eyes off of her, the way she moved around the kitchen. I had no idea what she was making, but I also didn't care she could make burnt toast and I would eat it. Just to make her happy.

"Here!" She speaks as she walks over with two pasta bowls in her hands.

She places the bowls in front of me; she had made a carbonara and the beam on her face said it all of how proud she was of herself. I was proud of her too, god I was so in love with this woman.

"That looks amazing" I smile up to her, my lips come to hers quickly.

I sit there as I eat the food she made for me, I couldn't help but stare at her. I've never been so happy as I have by her side.

"Lando" Meg speaks, my head looks up at her with a smile on my face. "Do you forgive me for everything?"

"Of course I do" I tell her with no hesitation at all, I didn't care about what had happened before I only cared about her and now. "Why would I not?"

"I was shitty to you Lando" She sighs at me, I can feel her hand land on my thigh as she looks back into my eyes. The same eyes she had ignored for six months now. "I was an awful human, I ignored you and all your attempts to get us back together and now I guess i'm just back. Do you not think I'm a bad person?"

"You hurt me, but I also knew that you didn't do anything to purposely hurt me. I know that you did everything you did to protect us, I love you Meg and I always will"

Meg leans in and kisses my lips softly, her arms wrap around my neck pulling me closer to her body.

"So Abu Dhabi?" She smirks as her head leans against mine. "When do we leave?"

"We can leave whenever you want baby" I tell her, if she wanted to go right away then I would drop everything for her.

"Tomorrow, I just wanna stay with you tonight"

"Okay baby"
