Liam POV
Another growl left my lips so I turned and walked out, slamming the door behind me. Jax's very clear act of defiance and disobedience was making my wolf claw at my insides. I felt like I had no control left in my pack or personal life. I was losing everything, when I barely had much to start.
I walked the halls of this building, not speaking a word. Most scurried away from me, but the few brave ones that tried speaking were met with my wolf. A wolf no one wanted to know.
By the time lunch came around I was ready to boil over. This was ending today. I stormed in the conference room, ignoring the light laughter from Jax and his three omega, one human, and one hybrid new hires. I didn't personally mind them intermingling, but the implication could be devastating, especially to my pack.
"I want the female and abomination gone. Brandon, remove them from this building." I was no longer the friend or business partner. I was their Alpha speaking.
The omega's bowed their heads while the Hybrid boy stood to leave and the human, well, she was seated at the far end with a look of disgust. That's when it hit me. The female, the human, she was the woman of my dreams of late. The one that brought me an unimaginable pleasure with just her body.
"Excuse me, female? And what the fuck do you mean by abomination? Why are all you people so strange?" She huffed in aggravation, but I could see the confusion all her face. This is why it was a bad idea to have her here.
"Riley don't speak. I'll take you home." Brandon whispered to her with pleading eyes. I guess our future lead omega was catching feeling for my little nympho.
"Brandon this is unacceptable...." she began speaking but my mouth took off speaking before I could think. I didn't want her leaving, I wanted to play with this little girl. Push her to new limits then last time.
"I was kidding. Please sit." Fell out my lips. Jax's eyebrows shot up to me in surprise. My order before was all Alpha and I rarely joked with it.
"Kidding? I didn't find it even slightly amusing, Liam." She shot back at me, making everyone turn their heads in my direction. I could see the fear over her face instantly. She addressed me too casually and they would suspect we had other relations outside this office. Although that was very true, I also knew she didn't want anyone to know that.
"I'm not excited about the people Jax has hired, but I'll give you a week to prove yourselves before making my final decision. Nobody calls me Liam either. I'm not your friend and I don't care about any of you. That is Jax's down fall, not mine, so you will address me as Mr. Russell or Sir, and only speak to me if the building is on fire, actually, not even then." I gave her a little smirk at the Sir. I remembered how much she liked calling me that the last time we met.
"Yes, sir." Each one of them said in unison, everyone except the brown haired human still staring daggers at me. She was a feisty one. I would break her just the same, just like I did last time.
I left the conference room nodding my head towards Jax. 'One week I'll be here and one week you have to prove she is worth it. After that, she is gone and for good.' I mind linked my Beta leaving no room for disagreement.
He could disrespect me behind closed doors, but he would never go against his Alpha's order in public. Not only was it means for a death sentence, but his wolf would feel the shame of his disloyalty to me. We could fight with each other all day and night, but to act on a betrayal like that, would unbalance our souls.

"Mr. Russel this is Riley Parker and here is her file with the Gomez project. Is there anything else you need?" Brandon was nearly shaking as he spoke to me.
He was Jax's closest confidant lately so I imagine he knows more than most my pack. He was also there the day I went rabid on my pack, killing a handful of them.
Every time I saw his doe eyes it took me back to that day. He was a small boy covered in blood as he watched me tear their throats away. He was lucky he wasn't involved in the hunt the night before with his brothers and friends, or he too, wouldn't be standing here today.
"Thank you, Brandon. You can go." I tried pushing down my suffocating aura, but I saw it still effected him. A part of me felt guilty for traumatizing him so young and for killing two of his brothers. It had to be done though, probably not the way I went about it. Back then my wolf had little room for disrespect.
He fiddled with his fingers a moment before speaking. The little omega was thinking of speaking against me. When did he grow a set. "Sir, I could stay if you prefer. Possibly, assist Riley with her meeting."
Before I could respond the spitfire turned to him. "Do I look weak or incompetent, Brandon?"
"No, of course not. I didn't mean it like that Riley. It's just... " he paused looking to me for help, but I was too amused to intervene now.
"It's just what? I can handle Liam and I can handle the Gomez family. If not, then I don't deserve this job and I'm ok with that." She turned him towards the door to leave. He gave her a sad look and walked out.
She left the door open then proceed to take a seat in a big red chair. My office was not like Jax in anyway. Most my furniture was thick cherry wood, fabric upholstered, and very little technology. I did have a laptop here, but just like the computer at home I rarely used it.
"You would like to review the contract, Sir," Riley took a moment to settle her nerves, then spoke confidently and respectfully to me without an ounce of fear. Finally, someone that understands I'm the Alpha, or at least in charge.
"Yes, the Gomez family has been part of our business since my grandfather ran things. I want to ensure you aren't messing with our future. I'm not as trusting as Jax is." I opened the folder, flipping through the pages. She had a good point about the profits increases with more modern pieces, but it was not their way.
"I don't like this proposal. It's offense to ask this highly skilled family to produce such crap just to make a few extra dollars. I hope you have other ideas before visiting them later today." My voice was void of any emotion. She did excite me, but I liked being the Alpha and her the submissive nympho.
"They can't continue on the way they are going. They aren't even making a profit. I didn't see any loans so they are pulling money out from somewhere else to compensate for these loses, and it doesn't make any sense." She again spoke with confidence, not even flinching at my words to degrade her intelligence.
She was correct that Alpha Daniel was using pack money to keep their family business alive. They were a small pack located deep in the forest. They always survived from woodworking.
"If you think approaching Danny with this and from someone like you will work, than Jax is a bigger fool than I thought. He will rip out your throat for such disrespect."
"I'm not forcing him to do anything. I'm simply offering him options. If he wants to drown his family's legacy because of issues with his over inflated pride, than that is on him." Her glare turned more annoyed. She was already losing patience with me for questioning her when she clearly thought this was the only solution.
I let out a chuckle looking over her proposal again. I could only imagine the rage Danny would have with this little human. She wanted to tell him he needed to bow to human ways or lose everything his family built.
"Fine. I will accompany you on this meeting then. It will be amusing watching you fail." I waved my hand for her to leave, but she remained in the chair. Part of me wanted to go with her to protect her as well.
"Is there something else?" I asked
"You'll join me? I don't think that is necessary."
"Are you telling your boss what to do?"
"No! It's just... nevermind. It's fine. We leave in one hour." She quickly shot up and walked out of my office.
I wasn't sure if she was afraid to be alone with me or thought I wouldn't help with the meeting. A part of me was excited to be alone with her though. She might think that we are going to pretend like we haven't met before, but soon she will be remembering everything very well.
