Liam POV
This fierce goddess of a woman just did the dumbest shit possible. I wanted Jax awake more than anything, but this was a mistake. I could feel it in my bones that giving Allura life, hundred of years to plan and manipulate, would eventually be our undoing.
Allura moved swiftly to Jax. Her hands moved over his body as magic poured out of her hands. Her sickly sweet voice, full of lies and deceit, circled around us in an echo. My body tensed and I couldn't move.
My eyes moved to Riley, my gorgeous mate clenching her hands in a tight fist as her body shook in anticipation. Her wrist had a deep cut where her blood vow to Allura would remain until one of them died.
Fuck me! Jax is going to be so pissed I let this happen. He will quickly see that there is no taming a Lycan though, especially when that Lycan is Riley. She is not the same woman he once knew. She was more powerful than any now, and she knew it.
My head shot to Jax as a soft moan escaped his lips. His eyes squinted as if the dim light from the sun was hurting his eyes.
"Is he... awake?" Riley whispered, stepping closer to the bed he laid on for years.
"He is, and our vow is complete." Allura held out her wrist and the wound was now healed into a large protruding scar. They were bound for a lifetime. "I'll leave you to reunite with your mate. I'm sure we will be talking soon." The creepy, yet awkwardly sexy as hell witch smiled at Riley then courteous in an exaggerated manner before leaving.
Sophia held our children in a hug as they watched in complete silence and disbelief. Jax was awake!
"Hey handsome mate. Open those blue eyes for me." Riley's hand was caressing his blond hair, watching him intently. His breaths were heavier and body slightly twitching.
"You've made our Queen wait long enough. Open those eyes handsome." I moved to Riley's side, taking Jax's hand in mine.
"Fuck! My head feels like it's about to explode." Jax said and we all gasped. It really fucking worked!
Riley threw herself on top of him, kissing him all over his face. "Oh my goddess, thank you! You're really awake. You're really here." Tears streamed down her face and I couldn't hold my own back. I wasn't much of a crier, but this was too much to take in.
"I'm awake. I'm ok, beautiful." His hand caressed her head then he finally opened those eyes, ice blue and so damn sexy.
"Mate!" Maverick demanded. He was mine!
"Are you crying? Does a werewolf cry?" He teased me with a chuckle, then grabbed his side in pain. I could feel the same worry I had fill Riley. She grabbed his shirt and lifted to see his skin.
It was just smooth beautiful abs though. Maverick growled seeing his taut muscles and my hand laid flat on his stomach. "We have a lot of catching up to do, mate."
"Liam! He just woke up." Riley giggled at my obvious lust filling the room.
"Your belly, it's getting big. I knew you would be pregnant after that night." Jax sat up and perked his ears. He was listening for our children's heartbeat. Only this wasn't from when they slept together years ago. He had no idea how long he was asleep.
Sadness filled me knowing he would soon find out he missed so much. I should had taken more pictures, documented everything he missed so I could make him feel like he was a apart of it all.
"How long was I out?" His eyes met Riley's and she looked to me. She felt the same as I did.
"A long time." She softly said, wiping another tear that escaped her eyes.
"Why am I laying in a bed in a mausoleum?" He looked around confused, then found our kids all huddled around a pregnant Sophia. "Who... what?" He was barely finding the words, but he knew who they were.
"Can we hug Dad now?" Jackie asked, eyes shiny with tears. All four kids were beaming in happiness.
"Yes, of course. You have to be gentle though." Riley moved off the bed and brought them all over to us. I picked up the twin girls and she lifted Jackie then Jackson. Our boy grabbed her neck, seeming unsure if he should embrace Jax yet. He needed to observe first. Riley kissed his thick blond hair, whispering it was ok to hold on to her for now.
"I don't understand." Jax looked at all the little children surrounding him.
"When you killed Mildred you betrayed her spell. You fell unconscious for disobeying her. We defeated Demetrius and brought you home with my dad. Jeremiah is buried with the hero's of our past and you were spelled asleep until the direct kin of Mildred woke you. It's been almost three years."
"Three years?" He said in disbelief. He shook his head and Jackie laid across his chest to hug him. The oldest triplet, Jessica, hugged him too and our middle triplet, Joanna, stayed in my lap.
"I knew my bracelet would help, Dad. I stayed up till the sun was almost full in the sky for three nights." Jackie's little finger twirled the crystals around his wrist.
"They are healing crystals. Star taught us all about how they help rejuvenate any injury a supernatural would have." Jessica added. They were all so little, but smart and agile wolves. They walked and spoke like five years old.
I smiled at Jax as his eyes began shedding tears.
"Do werewolves cry?" I teased him. He chuckled looking to me.
"This is unbelievable. I'm so happy to meet everyone of you. I missed so much." He looked over our kids again then to Riley. "And what about you? Don't you want to come say hello?"
Jackson buried his head into Riley's chest, but kept his eyes on Jax.
"This is Jackson, your son and strong Alpha." Riley bounced him on her hip and he giggled.
"He is a bit of a momma's boy. He takes after his Dad." I grinned at Jax and he shot me a look of disapproval. I'm going to get it from both sides now.
"You have an amazing mom, I see why you love her so much."
"Daddy can we all go eat now. I want to show dad my bedroom." Jackie asked me with those perfect hazel eyes. She was the spitting image of her mother.
"Of course, baby. I'm sure your dad is starving." As the words left my mouth Jax stomach growled so loudly it echoed around the room. All the kids laughed and it made us laugh too.
I swallowed hard watching my mate alive, awake, and flashing that gorgeous smile of his at all of us. We are finally complete.
