Brandon POV
I tried calming the masses gathering around the pack, but it was pointless. The people of Danny's pack were already scared. It didn't take much to give them an excuse to revolt against my pack, or to run and hide.
People shouted they should kill us in honor of Demetrius. They convinced themselves if we were dead, then there would be no war. I didn't understand how quickly they forgot that they were bond to us by Demetrius. Killing us would only make him kill the rest of them.
"What do you want to do?" One of the Delta's from Liam's pack asked.
"I don't know. I don't know how to fix this. Has anyone heard or seen Barry? We need Sophia."
"No. We have a few men searching the pack, but we need to be careful. The mob outside beat three of our man nearly to death already."
"This is a shit show. My shit show!" I massaged my temples trying to think. We needed to calm them down. At this rate when the rest of Liam's pack arrived tomorrow we will be at war with each other.
"Give us the dirty hybrid! She is ours to punish!"
"We won't fight with savages that protect abominations!"
The people kept shouting ignorant slurs. Rioting and fires spread throughout most the territory already. Within a few hours this whole place was turned upside down.
"Find Dylan!" I said.
"What?" My pack member questioned.
"Find Dylan and bring him to the jail cells. Any that defy us, I want locked away. Either Dylan takes back what he said, or he will watch our pack slaughter his. I'm done playing this game. If the lot of them want to act like irrational psychos, than so will I!" I ordered my soldiers then walked to the back door of the house. I needed to sneak my way to the cells. We will find Dylan and take camp in their prison until reinforcements come.
We stood a chance defending against small groups at a time, and if they tried to burn us out, then they burn us all, including their own pack members. It was a shit plan, but it was all I had.
I had to take two detours, but made my way to the metal door of a small building. Upstairs was just a few offices with interview rooms and surveillance of the cells held below.
I walked in and no one paid me attention so I walked fast, praying no one tried to take me out. The security inside the jail didn't seem to know about the ruckus outside, or they didn't care.
I walked down the rows of cells when I saw the one person I desperately needed. Thank the goddess he came.
"Barry! Please tell me Sophia is here?" I ran to him, but was met with dark and dangerous eyes.
"She won't be harmed or I will kill them all." He spoke with a deep voice, his wolf was in full control. I smirked at him, losing sight of the immense danger we were all in. My mate was so sexy when he was mad.
I put my hands up in the air. "I don't want Sophia harmed either. We have an entire pack outside demanding her punished though. We need to lock her up just until our pack arrives. We can't fight them alone, Barry." I spoke calmly, hoping he saw reason.
Sophia stepped forward in a locked cell, holding the key. She put herself here and wasn't leaving. "I accept my punishment. Whatever it is, whatever Dylan wants, I accept it, Brandon." She cried as she spoke. Her blond hair stained with blood and her shirt more red than yellow.
"You deserve death!" Dylan's voice came out behind me with nothing but hate in it.
"Where do you want the prisoners?" One of my man holding Dylan's arms behind his back asked. They had five boys all restrained and beaten pretty badly.
