Riley POV

I couldn't believe the chaos that was around us. Hundreds of people fighting and screaming at each other like enemies. These people are supposed to be a pack. The most unbelievable sight was Sophia though.

She didn't look like herself. Her hair black, skin covered in silver sparkles, and eyes a mysterious purple that instantly put you under her spell. Of course, dumb ass Liam falls right into her trap.

The second Liam wrapped his arm around her shoulders Jax lost it. I could feel the disappointment radiating off him, both from his future pack's behavior and his former Alpha's stupidity. Something was not right here. It had to be magic and I was so over all this supernatural crap.

Liam whined like a lost puppy when Jax ripped Sophia from his arms. He needed to be Alpha right now, not some love sick boy mesmerized by a damn hybrid. My hand whacked him hard against his face using a strength I didn't know I had. I heard his bone crack in his face and my eyes widened. I didn't regret doing it, which was the most concerning part. It actually felt pretty good.

"What is happening here?" I demanded of the people surrounding us. The second I began talking I noticed them all looking to me in fear.

"That girl is a hybrid. She is trying to kill us!" One woman said with a shaky breath.

"Sophia is harmless!" I angrily replied to the woman. She backed up and bowed her head to me. Definitely a strange reaction.

"My apologies." The woman spoke, shaking with fear.

"You need to calm down." I felt Jax's hands rubbed up and down my arms. "You're scaring the pack we are here to protect." He whispered in my ear.

I looked to the woman, then to Liam. He held his hand over his face. He was in pain! I broke his face!

"Me? They are afraid of me?" I looked to Jax afraid of the truth in my own words.

"You're a Lycan, beautiful. Any of supernatural origins can feel your power." His blue eyes looked deep into mine. I felt the warmth in my eyes begin to cool down. At first it felt like a surge of anger, then scorching heat. I guess I didn't realize it was my wolf coming forward. Oh god! I have a wolf!

"Sophia!" Some boy came running out through the crowd. His neck had a huge wound dripping blood down his shirt.

"Mine! Give me what is mine!" Sophia thrashed in the guard's arms. She looked possessed and I didn't know what to do, but I couldn't let her be harmed.

"Dylan, you need to get inside!" Brandon came running behind him.

Sophia broke the guards arm and bolted towards Dylan. Barry suddenly jumped out of the crowd, catching Sophia just in time before she got a hold of this Dylan guy.

"Sophia, please, you need to take control back." Her brother pleaded. Everyone stood cemented in their place watching this drama unfold.

"It's ok. Let her go! I want to fight my mate properly." Dylan said with a sly smile. I shook my head at his words. I couldn't of heard him correctly.

"Shut up! I should kill you after what you've done!" Barry shouted to Dylan. Everyone whipped their heads from each person that spoke.

Jax, Liam, and I watched Barry, Brandon, Sophia, and Dylan with complete and utter confusion. They were all animals. Stupid, homicidal animals.

Sophia broke from Barry's arm, lounging straight at Dylan. He grabbed her in mid-air, twisting her body so her back came to his front. I stopped breathing watching this boy manhandle a girl that used to seem so sweet.
