Ch. 58 - Massacre

Jax POV

I ran after Riley as she shot through the open door. I smelled blood, and I feared whoever spilled it was still there. Liam already shifted, standing a few inches taller than me with a body looked carved from a light brown stone. Every muscle of his was sharply defined and larger than his human form.

Riley stood in a large open room with a wall length grey stone fireplace and a couch to seat atleast twenty people shaped in a half circle. The ceiling had long thick beams across the top in a light wood, giving it a feel of a real cabin style home.

Her hand laid over her mouth as she cried into it. Tears ran endlessly down her face and I howled inside she had to witness such brutality, or feel this deep of pain.

Danny Gomez sat on a large wooded chair that looked to be made straight from a tree. The back spokes still held bark over each one. His hands were tied to those spokes, tightly behind his back. His legs open wide and each tied to the bottom of the chair. His mouth was gagged with underwear and face etched deep in sorrow. He was clothed, but his pants were ripped open and blood pooled from his missing appendage.

"Who would do something so cruel, so heinous, so vile?" Riley finally spoke and Liam took her body roughly into his chest to shield her eyes from all the horror.

Danny's wife was laid sprawled out on the coffee table with legs opened wide. I moved closer, not wanting to see this mess of sin and sexual deviance, but we needed to assess the scene. Then we needed to bury the bodies. I didn't get along well with Danny, but he and his family didn't deserve this.

My fingers ran over his wife's neck at the deep bruising that probably killed her. I closed her legs and threw a blanket over her body. As I looked up from the couch tears stung darkly in my eyes. Three of his daughters laid off to the side, all naked and severely violated.

"Demetrius was here. He took them all for sick pleasure and probably killed them once he finished inside them." I said as I covered one of the young girls. She looked to be barely fifteen.

It appeared he tied Danny up and took each of his daughters as he made him watch. As one died he tossed the body to the side and took another, then another, until all that was left was his wife. Her body was abused the worst.

After he was done violating and raping the women, he cut off Danny's dick and watched him bleed out. It wouldn't kill him, so Demetrius waited and watched him suffer, then ripped out his heart.

"He had twenty two kids. Are any of them safe?" Riley asked, still hiding inside Maverick's chest.

He was growling continuously with long claws and sharp canines, but she felt safety in his arms, not fear. I knew it was not Maverick to fear, but what he would do. If he attacked Demetrius, he would die.

This vile creature wasn't just a cocky Alpha spewing bullshit about what he might do. This was a dark demon that walked among us. He had no remorse or care for those below him. Since he was the most powerful being on this earth, that meant we were all below him, and none of us mattered in his eyes.

"I don't think so. Many were still young and I pray he gave them a quick death at least. What the hell did Danny do to invoke such a wrath from Demetrius? I never seen him this cruel or deviant before. He has killed, but usually in a fit of rage. This was planned and a deliberate torture." I covered the last girl with a blanket and stepped back to them. My shoes slid on the floor as it was now soaked in blood.

"This is a message about what happens when you disobey his order. Danny lied to Demetrius." Maverick spoke in a deep regal tone. "He was running drugs with the humans and enforcing his little gang with his wolf's strength. Demetrius doesn't like to be lied to, or us showing our hand with the humans." Maverick's black eyes had a hint of red shining through.
