Riley POV
I woke in a new room I never seen before and tilted my head back with tears. I knew my child was gone and I couldn't look down to see my flat stomach.
"I'm surprised you're awake." Some random woman said walking around my bed.
"How long have I've been asleep?" I asked through sobs.
"Only a few hours. I thought you'd been asleep a few days though. Are you thirsty, hungry?" She asked, resting her hands over her enlarged belly. My eyes were heavy and mind a bit foggy, but I did my best to look her over. I needed to know who was my enemy and who I could try to gain trust from.
As I came to more I realized the woman standing beside me was just a girl. Petite frame with light skin and dark chocolate eyes. Her face was a little uneven and her nose a bit too large. She didn't seem like a cruel person, but I knew better than to trust anyone.
"Water would be good, thank you." I gave her a pathetic smile then tried to lift my body to sit. My stomach was tight with a small pain in it. With shaky hands I lifted my shirt and saw the large bandage there. Mildred did as she said and ripped my baby out of me. When I find that hag I will truly take pleasure in killing her, or at least I will try to.
"I can change your bandage if you like. Mildred wasn't sure how fast you would heal with a broken soul."
"Mildred is here?" My eyes burned saying her name.
"Yes, of course. We are having a party tonight to celebrate her return. I was too young when she was kidnapped, but I heard of the great magic she held." The girl poured me a glass and handed it to me. I tried to drink it slowly, but I didn't realize how perched I was.
"Are you a Lycan?" I asked observing the girl.
"No, I wasn't blessed to be so strong. I am carrying an Alpha wolf though. Our King said I held great promise, maybe next time." She absentmindedly rubbed her belly.
"What do you mean?" I had a feeling I wasn't going to like her answer. She was too meak and obviously a follower of Demetrius.
"My child is not a Lycan. He will be an Alpha though."
"An alpha is good, strong."
"He will be, I won't know though. Hopefully my next pregnancy will be more pleasing to our King. Maybe I'll be chosen to mate with him too." She smiled brightly and my eyes bugged out of my head. I was in the middle of some sick cult.
"How old are you?"
"I just turned fifteen." She said proudly, like a teenager that would feel they are as old as an adult.
"Do you know where my baby is?" I had to at least try. I knew this girl wouldn't harm me. Even in my state I could probably take her.
"She is here. Is this your first? You seem a bit old." She looked at me curiously and I scowled at her. I wasn't old. I just wasn't a child sex slave.
"Yes. Can I see her?"
The girl giggled. "You know that is not allowed. Don't worry, she is safe and will be treated as royalty. Our King has been waiting a long time for a Lycan to be born. He is so happy too. You know, when he is happy life is much more pleasant here."
"Where is here?"
"The Lycan pack house. I really should get you some food and new bandages. I don't want to be punished for not caring for you properly."
I nodded my head but wanted to ask her a million more questions. The room I was in looked like an sixteenth century Queen's room. A large poster bed with drapes, fancy rugs laid about the floor, couches and a vanity.
