Riley POV

I woke to Jax's heavy body laid on top of me. His face planted securely between my breast and arm protectively around my stomach.

He was such a powerful man with this unwavering confidence. Every day he was showing me a more softer side to him. I knew he could be demanding and possessive like Liam, maybe even worse, but he didn't show it often. He melted to my touch and I saw in his eyes that I already became his world.

I never felt this kind of love from anyone in my life before. It was overwhelming, but also addicting. I needed to be loved this way always. I never knew how badly I craved to belong to another before.

My fingers brushed through his blond hair and I just laid with a smile. He was really mine. He was my soul mate and not just because of this weird ass mark he branded me with either. I felt it in every part of my body the second I saw his face on my computer back in New York.

My heart felt heavy thinking of Liam. I wanted him next to me too. Never in my life did I ever think of myself to be with two men. Now, I can't imagine myself without them.

"We have an issue with Miguel." Liam burst through Jax's door and froze at the sight of us. He stood there a moment looking over us.

"Please!" I begged with a hand to him. I need his touch, just for a moment.

He shifted in his spot, obviously fighting with himself.

"Come say good morning to the mother of your child, asshole." Jax's rough voice came out and he lifted to stare at Liam.

"This is a mistake. She will be the end of our pack." Liam dug his heels in the ground. So stubborn!

"Well, maybe we are all mistakes and I enjoy them immensely." Jax stood in just sweat pants and walked to Liam. His hand grabbed his neck and forced a rough kiss on his lips.

I bit my lip watching my two Alphas. They were so damn sexy.

"Come here!" Liam demanded of me.

I stood and slowly walked to him. His hand extended to my belly and Jax wrapped an arm around Liam's waist.

"I will break! Do you understand what that means?" Liam asked of me.

I shook my head no to him.

"It means I will lose all control. My wolf would ravage this pack, kill any that get in my way. I would no longer be human, but a pure beast that wants to burn the world down. I won't hurt my pack, not for you, not for my mate, and not for my child. I won't hurt my pack again." Liam knelt down and kissed my belly. "I'm sorry." He whispered to our child then stood.

The sadness and vulnerability was clear across his face.

"Liam we are stronger..." Jax began to argue.

Liam raised a hand to Jax. "You know better than anyone. Don't put this on me! Miguel needs help. Get dressed." He pushed out of the room and stomped away from us.

"What did he do to his pack?" My body was filled with sadness for him.

"Come sit, it's a long story." Jax guided me to the bed then sat me across his lap.

"When Liam was twelve he first shifted into his wolf."

"Is that a normal age?"

"Not really. Sixteen is the average, but strong Alpha have been known to shift as early as thirteen."

"Why did he shift early then?"

"I believe it was because our pack was taunted by an older boy. We had a visiting pack on territory. Their Alpha was fair and known as a great leader, but his oldest son was just a bad seed.
