Riley POV
I can't believe this arrogant asshole wouldn't let Brandon see me. Jax and Liam sat back at the table with Claire smiling between all of us. She was always finding everything so amusing.
"Why would you keep Brandon from me?" I crossed my arms.
"I don't need to explain myself. We have other matters to deal with." He pointed to Brandon and the siblings. "All of you go!" He ordered.
"No! You know what. You stay hear and get answers from Star. I'm going with them. I had enough of this magic and witchy werewolf crap. I can't take anymore."
"Riley!" Liam growled.
"What? They are wolves too. Right?" I looked to Brandon. I actually didn't know for sure.
"We are. I'm the lead Omega and these beautiful people are all Delta's"
"See! That sounds important. I'm going with them." I shrugged my shoulder and grabbed Brandon's arm.
"Leave them Liam. She needs a breather from you, we all do." Jax looked to Liam with annoyance.
This constant back and forth with Liam was warring on him. I could tell Jax was not only devoted to his Alpha, but he loved him deeply. Liam was an asshole that like playing with us though.
"Fine! Don't leave the shop." Liam ordered.
I rolled my eyes and walked away. He was suffocating. Jax was right, I needed a breather. It's been weeks of supernatural overload that I honestly can't handle. My life is nothing what it was. I didn't know myself anymore or what wonderland I fell into.
"Oh my goddess. I need details? Like all of them." Sophia gushed, taking my other arm.
"You guys catch up. I'll be right back." Barry said and left behind the curtain. I imagine there is secret werewolf witchy stuff back there.
"Ok, so details. Who, when, and definitely how!" Sophia was so excited about all this. I felt like I was dying though.
"Jax. He marked me last night and now I'm apparently his forever. Liam is a total ass and won't let me leave their house. He says I'm a target and too weak to be out." I looked to Brandon knowing he was aware Liam was the actual father.
"I didn't know Jax was in Chicago. Are you sure?" Sophia questioned.
"I'm pretty sure it was him that I slept with and his sharp ass teeth bit into my neck." I said annoyed. I was trying to handle being marked, branded, but it really irritated me that he did it without talking to me about it first. Liam I expected it from, but not Jax.
Brandon gave me a small smile, sensing my uncomfortableness with all this. Nothing made sense anymore. "It's a mark and bonds you to Jax. If you left him, both your souls would long to be close again. You're connected now. This also means you have a powerful Beta with the strength of an Alpha making sure no one harms you."
"And Liam will protect her too. He won't chance losing his Beta if she dies." Cassie added.
"What does that mean? If I die?" Liam said something like this earlier too, but Jax brushed it off.
"You're apart of him now. If you die, it will kill half of Jax's soul. He would live on, but he won't be half the wolf he was without you."
"Not unless his fated mate marks him." Katie said.
"Awesome! I was a bargaining chip." I shook my head in disbelief. If I die in four months then Liam would have to accept Jax as his mate or lose him forever.
"What do you mean, bargaining chip?" Sophia asked confused.
"Nothing! My biggest problem right now is surviving this pregnancy. Star thinks my son will be too powerful for body to survive. Do you have any suggestions?"
