Riley POV
I sat under a tree, trapped perfectly between my Alpha and Beta. Well, technically I guess I was between my two Lunas now. I giggled to myself at that thought. Liam and Jax were both tall masculine man with a powerful wolf inside them. Somehow, I became more than them combined.
I felt power in my veins, strength in my newly formed muscles, and so much more love in my heart. My whole life it was just my parents and me. I never connected with anyone before. I thought I was just an odd ball human, when in fact, I was born a Lycan.
Now I was also a mother. Somewhere out there I had this baby girl. I didn't know the color of her eyes, smell of her skin, or sound of her cry. It was cutting my inside apart thinking about her. I tried not to because I needed to be strong for her. I felt ashamed I tried so hard to block her out of mind though. She was my daughter, but I couldn't miss her. If I allowed myself to miss her I would break.
"I'm here, gorgeous." Liam wrapped his fingers in mine. "We will win and we will have a perfect family." The once arrogant asshole smiled so sincerely at me.
"I like this version of you. I didn't think it was possible for your to be... nice!" I gave him a playful smile.
"Don't get use to it." He grunted and looked away. I knew from our bond he was being playful too.
"Goddess, I love feeling the both of you. These marks are like direct links to everything your feeling." Jax was watching us with tired eyes. He didn't look so good and I wanted to hunt down Mildred so she could reverse this spell.
"I never knew the mate bond could be like I was living inside another's body." I gave him a half smile, then kissed his lips softly. I needed him to be ok.
"Twenty minutes out. Put some more of that ointment on. You'll be killed in five seconds looking like you do." Liam spoke annoyed at Jax. I knew he didn't blame him for being cursed, he was just pissed he was.
Jax reached into his pocket, moaning in pain. My eyes saddened watching something that should be so easy for him to do was hurting him so much.
"Let me, baby." I said, taking the ointment from his hands.
Jax leaned his head against the tree with his eyes closed. I could feel the disgust that he felt being so weak.
"You're mine! Mated to a Lycan and Alpha. We won't let anything happen to you. Just like you will always protect us." I said, applying the weird goo on his side.
"I know. I love you." Jax gave me a kiss as I lowered his shirt. "You too. Final kiss, baby, and don't be an asshole." Jax said to Liam.
"First of many kisses." Liam demanded, then reached over my body and took Jax's lips hard against his. I smiled, feeling the love exploding between them. The relief they that could openly love each other felt like my body was turning to weightless air.
"Goddess, you two are so hot!" I said, biting hard on my lip I tasted blood. Damn! I forgot how strong I was.
"Goddess?" Liam chuckled. "Are you disowning your god now."
"I don't know what I believe in anymore. I know we are meant to be together, and that we are meant to end this for all the packs. Be safe!" I grabbed Liam's cheeks in my hands and kissed him roughly.
The two of them were remaining in the woods with bows and I headed to an old tree cutting mill. Whoever got through the woods would be lead through the town and to this factory. It was a large space with tons of buildings and machinery. We hoped to isolate the Lycans, then separate them.
Star stood at my side with Brandon and Barry behind us. I had the strength to take on a Lycan, but not the experience. Barry and Liam gave me a crash course in dodging and fighting. They pointed out weakness to both exploit with them and guard on myself. I just hoped it would be enough.
