Brandon POV

Both our packs gathered at the training grounds. I had them all separated in their duties for war. Archers, swordsman, medic, and helpers. I stood before them proud of myself. I don't know how it came together, or so quickly, but it did.

"We will be ready." Barry's hand came to my shoulder, giving it a little squeeze.

"I hope so." I said with a deep sigh.

I looked over the crowd, hundreds of people and some of them wouldn't survive. All I could do was hope that we won. At least the deaths of our pack and neighbors would mean something that way. When this was over we needed to find a way to honor all that fought. Especially those that don't make it. We needed to name this war.

"Is everyone here?" Liam asked, making me jump. My mind was lost in victory celebrations for a war we haven't even fought yet. Barry gave me a look if I was ok and I nodded to him.

"Both packs that are able and willing to fight are here." I bowed my head to my Alpha and stood tall beside him.

"Good." Liam stepped out in front of us and Riley came to my side. I felt her hand in mine and smiled.

"I can't wait to be able to mind link you." She whispered to me. I chuckled at all the inappropriate conversations we will be having, even miles apart. I squeezed her hand, praying Riley got everything she deserves.

She wore a smile, but I knew all this was too much for her. How could you stand after your child was rip from you? She knew nothing of our world, but stood here now ready to protect it. She was always our rightful Luna.

"You bit him." I whispered to her. Liam was about to start speaking when he turned to look at me with a growl. I don't think he likes us gossiping about him.

"I sure did. He is mine, whether he likes it or not." Riley gave him a wink and Liam smiled like a damn giddy child about to get icecream.

Liam cleared his throat then turned back to the packs.

"He is so whipped." I chuckled to her.

"Oh he is, and he loves it."

Liam growled again, but didn't turn around. I think he knew we were best friends, and soon, I would know all about their little love triangle. There was no telling Riley to be quiet about it either, she was a damn Lycan.

"Demetrius has already sent troops our way." Liam opened with and everyone began murmuring in fear. He had to of known that wasn't the best way to address Danny's pack. We already knew how blunt and to the point our Alpha is and remained quiet.

"Danny's former pack will unite under mine. As you know, my lead Beta has broke his link, and I stand here with a mark on my neck. Instead of claiming you all as my pack under one Alpha, I'm going to give us all what we need. I need my mates and you desperately need strength." He looked to Jax and Riley, who both shook their heads at him. I'm pretty sure this will be the last speech Liam every gave.

"Riley came to us almost a year ago. She was just a weak human and thought to be pregnant by my beta. That wasn't correct. She was in fact carrying my child." This time both packs began speaking.

"Quiet!" Liam roared and Jax chuckled at him. "Riley is now a Lycan and will be your Alpha!" He said with black eyes of irritation. He didn't have the patiences or proper bedside manner for this. It's why Jax always handled all the talking.

"What?" Jax asked him. Liam looked to him and shrugged his shoulders. I guess they didn't discuss this announcement before giving it.

"She will be referred to as Luna, but by definition, she would be the true Alpha." Liam stated.
