Ch. 79 - The New Boss

Brandon POV

I finally made it out of the house from my greedy mate's claws. I teased him I would teach him to behave, but I loved how he couldn't get enough of me.

We slept only a few hours last night and I was woken to Barry licking my body. He was obsessed with me and it made me so giddy inside that such a strong beautiful man desired me.

My hand rubbed over my neck as I drove into the city. Barry didn't just desire me, he was mine and I was his. I always wanted a mate, but I wasn't thinking about settling down anytime soon.

I wanted a man as a mate too. I was definitely turned on by women, especially ones with strong personalities, but a masculine body and thick cock did it for me ten times harder. Barry was like a whole other gender. He wasn't male or female, he was just mine.

I cursed under my breath missing my exit. I was totally zoned out and madly in love. I had my mate and my entire life ahead of me to be with him. I wondered if Barry ever wanted kids? I can't imagine us being fated to a woman though. He wasn't even slightly turned on by a female body.

I whimpered in my head that he spent so many years hiding what he desired. I smiled thinking how I was his one only man though.

"Fuck! Get it together Brandon!" I yelled at myself, realizing I missed my exit again. I'm never getting to work and Jax is going to kill me. I'm supposed to be lead omega. Goddess, I just want to be Barry's. All day and night I want to under him, and over him, and bent over for him. I want to taste him... stop!

I took some deep breaths and looked only at the road. I read every sign and license plate I saw and finally got off the right exit. That was really hard.

I walked into the office and went straight to Jax's office. So much has been going on I wasn't even sure where to start. I couldn't disappoint my Beta though.

He did reject our pack last night, but it wasn't because he wanted to, or because he disowned us. He was trying to keep his mate and daughter safe. I wouldn't ever hold that against him.

"Thank the goddess you're here." I said to Connor walking passed the door.

"Me?" He pointed to himself then looked around.

"Yes, you. Riley showed you how to file all this right? I need to get all this paperwork organized and I need files for these clients."

"Sure, you got it boss." Connor jumped right to the first stack. I can't understand for the life of me why Jax let Liam stay in the dark ages. If this was all in the computer it would be so much easier.

"I'm not the boss, just covering until Jax returns."

"Uh, doesn't that make you the boss then?" He asked seriously with no wise ass tone.

"Kind of, but don't call me boss." I said confused and walked away.

I got a few assistants to fill me in with what was going on. Jax had four meetings today and six that needed to be rescheduled from earlier in the week. It was impossible to get this all done in one day. I wanted to go home to my mate, but I had a feeling I would be stuck in the office until midnight.

As I walked to my first meeting of the day with a marketing firm from New York my body fell to the floor.

"Get to Danny's territory and secure the pack. I'll send more instructions. You and that Delta boy are the leaders until we return." Jeremiah's voice rang through my head in a dark demonic tone.

"What... happened?" I tried asking him. It was like thinking through mud to reach him.

"Demetrius took my daughter." He said then slammed the connection between us shut. My eyes rolled in the back of my head as my brain rattled in my skull. That was way too painful and unnecessary. I need to give Jeremiah my phone number.
