Lukanja didn’t know what had overcome them all of a sudden but there was probably just something about Pipistrello’s words which had made them reconsider. Then again, all they had done at that place was just lie or sit down, trying to escape all of the thoughts they had going on. But it didn’t work.

In the end they were honestly just put off by its constant murmuring of ‘Is this the end?’ type of deal. It repeated that one sentence in different ways over and over, to the point it became hard to overhear. The same question. Even if it hadn’t been directed towards them it was driving them nuts. And when still there they had asked if it could be quiet about this at least? But the response… Well…

“ Oh dearie, this is my place. I can say and do whatever I want. ” Pipistrello had then twirled around in the air, its entire body floating while just rolling and twirling all over the place while talking. “And if I want to think aloud, then I do it. It’s not so hard to understand, is it?”

“ I… N… No… ” That was its place, right. They were essentially just a guest after all. They had embarrassed themself at that point, at least a little bit. But even so—

“ Exactly. If you don’t like it, maybe you should go home then~ ” Go home? As in…

“ But… ” That’s where they had been stuck, at that one word. ‘But’. That’s all they could manage out of their own mouth. ‘But’, nothing else. They wanted to continue back then yet they couldn’t get their mouth open. They just couldn’t. Hence why they had just kept it shut and the silence then kicked in, a silence where the being suddenly stopped moving right in front of them, making them face its masked face.

It was as if they had been observed at that point, from head to toe, or their expression had been analyzed. Needless to say they flinched or would have if they could have moved. But something made them unable to or just not wanting to. In any case, it wasn’t them who had spoken up but Pipistrello. It was just one sentence in the end. One simple sentence.

“ I won't push you to do it. You always had a choice in the matter. ”

They didn’t know why it had said it. Reassurance? Stating a mere fact? Or was it something different entirely? They weren’t sure. They didn’t know. Yet it was exactly that which had pushed them a little over the edge. They just felt stupid hearing that now… But there was something about this which made something click.

In the end Lukanja had agreed to leave. ‘At least go home and don’t worry Mother anymore’ – The excuse they gave. Yeah, staying here for longer than necessary may not have been the smartest move here. Thinking back on it, running to somewhere else? Haha, they will get a big scolding once they get home. After all, if enough time had passed, Mother would certainly be furious. Not because they had done something massively wrong. It was more because they had just disappeared without a trace and didn’t let her know. They would have to come up with an excuse.

As for where they had been dropped off… Much to their surprise it was right out in the cold, in the middle of Shibuya. The fresh air blew against their face, against their skin, after so long. It felt like an eternity honestly. Especially in the dark where the lights had turned on. Yeah, a few days have passed, certainly. A quick look up told them just as much, at the massive building in the middle of the scramble. There it was, yeah, in the corner of the current news report. The 24th November. 5 days past their disappearance. 5 more days of keeping shut, all because they had nothing to say. Or rather they did but again, who would believe such a thing? Even though they just wanted to say it, say something. Tell someone. It was infuriating.
