Lukanja entered the room, or rather this place. It had not been the first time and it wasn’t going to be the last, they were certain of that. Though this time they had decided to go there on their own volition. Or rather they had asked Pipistrello for something…
“ We have little time so here’s the plan! Just pull him to your place! I will distract whoever there is so it can go smoothly! I'll give you a signal once I’m done so you can pull me in there too! I… Would like to talk to Akechi–Kun myself first. ”
It was a choice and a chance. A chance they couldn’t let pass by. They had to take it right then and there, no ifs and buts. It was a sudden change yet maybe there was some time of adrenaline boost which made them suddenly eager. But then again they just… Wanted to know. They sought answers. What was Akechi’s deal? They were sick of this game next to being sick of running. They had to confront him.
Yet even then they trembled with fear. They trembled because this was unknown territory regardless. What if they shouldn’t ask? What if they would regret it? Uncertainty was always the worst enemy. Yet they couldn’t back down, not now anyways. They had to see this through. And it would be too late anyways once they would enter the space of Pipistrello’s inside their clothes from before, though they weren’t in sight right away.
Instead they were standing in front of something like a wall, but it also wasn’t really a wall. Something black, pitch black. One poke at it and it revealed to be some kind of glibbery thing you could squeeze. And right behind it Lukanja heard two voices talking, most likely the being’s and Akechi’s.
“Huh? Want from you? … Oh, I see how it is. Why not talk it out later?”
“There’s nothing to talk about.”
“Hah… Truly, what a stubborn pair. Oh well, time’s up. They’re coming.”
“Get me out of here then!”
“Nah, don’t feel like it.”
“Why you little–”
Yet they knew that they had to enter, so they interrupted the conversation and pushed the glibbery stuff aside, only to pass through it and enter the location. It didn’t even take a step and they came face to face with Akechi pretty much right away. Though this one was staring at them like a deer in headlights. His eyes wide, only staring at them. Pipistrello was nowhere to be found yet its eyes were pretty much everywhere. They knew, it had full control over this domain after all.
The silence in between was rather awkward however. All they did was look right at each other, nothing else. And they did so in utter silence, no one moving an inch, not even opening their mouths. It evoked a mixed reaction within Lukanja. It had been so long and after this time they were finally facing him again, in person in fact. Maybe that’s what made them take so long to speak up. Even if it started with the most obvious thing they could say at that point.
“I… I… I’m so glad you’re alright!” Lukanja said, the relief most likely visible on their face. They felt it relaxing, even if it was for this very short moment. Because the moment after he would just turn away his gaze to not face them. And they could see that both of his hands were forming into fists right then and there.
“Whatever.” He huffed, dismissing them, or sounding like that at the very least. It was cold, or an attempt to be cold at the very least. And yet, wouldn’t it say it all if he didn’t want to face them at the very least?
