Daniel watched the Hivewing army rush forward.
His friends wasted no time before slaughtering the first line of troops.

Daniel watched as the bodies hit the floor one by one.
Winter slit the throat of one of the Hivewings before freezing another with frostbreath and smashing them into bits with his tail.
He then slid under a third, flipping his balisong in his talon before stabbing them in the back.

Qibli dashed forward, lodging his hidden blade into the throat of Hivewing facing him before slicing the wing of a second with his barbed tail.
He rolled under the spears of a third-armed dragon before coming back up and thrusting his blade through their foreheads.

Kinkajou was nowhere to be seen since she turned invisible, but the Hivewings being attacked were easy to spot.

One of them was blasted in the face with venom, they screamed out in excruciating pain as their scales malted off their face.

A second Hivewing's chest was slashed open exposing their ribcage before it was brutally smashed open, their exposed heart being massacred by bone shrapnel as they fell backwards.

And finally a third but by far the luckiest of the trio was killed instantly when a crossbow bolt found its mark in the centre of their right eye.

On the other side of it all, Daniel spotted Willow and Moon together. They watched each other's backs as a large group of Hivewings encircled them.

Willow clutched her tomahawk in her talon as Moon held her weapon out using a tightly woven vine attached to the bottom ring of her kunai.
It seemed that Willow had grown a smooth vine for Moon to use with her weapon.

Moon threw her kunai with incredible accuracy into the stomach of one of the Hivewings before yanking it out with the vine.

The kunai flew back around as Moon swung it over her head. Upon bringing it back Moon caught an unlucky Hivewing trying to tackle Willow's side and sliced them across the snout.

Soon after she yanked the weapon downward, letting the top of the kunai crash into the head of a Hivewing, cracking their skull open as red blood gushed out of the wound.

Willow on the other hand was primarily using her Leafspeak to keep the Hivewings at bay while Moon slaughtered them. However, every now and then she used her Tomahawk to put down the few that would manage to break through her thorned bushes.

Two Hivewings broke through and rushed towards Willow.
She swung her Tomahawk out and punctured the Hivewing's side, sending it tumbling back into the thorny bushes.

The second tried to stab Willow and nearly did get a lucky shot in but was redirected so the spear went past and over Moon's shoulder.

After they missed, Willow quickly took advantage and elbowed them in the side which caused them to bring their head down towards the ground.
This was their downfall as Willow then drove the blade of her Tomahawk down the centre of their snout.

Their head was instantly split open and a large splatter of blood rained down on the ground as the Hivewing was ruthlessly pushed backwards.

Finally, a third Hivewing tried to catch Willow off guard as they tried to pounce on her from above but it failed miserably.

A medium-sized Venus Dragontrap suddenly exposed itself from the ground and chomped down on the airborne Hivewing like a shark before Willow forced it to dive beneath the surface again.
