Daniel saw the world turn.
The scenes and bodies flickered in the background of Barren's sinister smile."And that's not all... Let's also not forget your kill counts too..."
He gestured to the rest of the heathen team. With everyone together, you twelve have successfully killed twenty-eight thousand, four hundred and eighty-seven dragons."
He smiled.
"You've successfully killed over half of the dragon population... Impressive..."The world flickered back to normal as the skulls beneath Daniel's talons vanished.
Daniel fell momentarily before landing on the Pantalan plains with a painful thud.Damp dirt smacked him in the face, momentarily painting his scales brown before he somewhat decently wiped it off after pushing himself up again.
The skies as cleared, revealing scarlet red moons and about a trillion stars. Or at least that's what it looked like.
Willow, Moon and Kinkajou stood together underneath the bloody shine of the moons.
The three of them looked at their talons regretfully.
Barren smiled in the background, "Why the gloomy faces? You wanted this didn't you?"Willow shot Barren an angered glare though in the end she couldn't rebuttle.
It was true... They wanted this... They ask for it... They had all played themselves right into his talons...Barren chuckled.
"You're actions have consequences, did you really think you could bypass them?"Nobody said anything for a moment. At least not until Hazel -of all dragons- decided to be brave enough to challenge the sadistic Sandwing.
Hazel growled.
"Oh don't try to pin the blame on them now..."Barren raised a surprised brow, clearly not expecting Hazel to talk.
He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off when Sequoia spoke up from the side."Hazel! What are you doing!?" She cried out worriedly.
Hazel ignored her, instead she stared Barren down like a badass.
"The only reason they even did those actions were becuase of you!" She spat, somewhat angrily surprisingly.Barren's eyes widened slightly before his faced relaxed into a coy smile.
"Well, well, well, it seems someone found her voice,"He raised a brow.
"But why are you so mad? I never-" He was cut off."Flame told me all about you, he told me how you've most likely manipulated them all into becoming what they are now..." She gestured to Daniel's friends.
"He also told me how you manipulated him into joining the Heathens in the first place!"Barren scowled.
"You should be grateful for that!"Hazel raised a brow,
"Oh yeah? And why's that?" She spat bitterly."Because if it wasn't for me, things would have turned out VERY differently..."
Barren stated, though Hazel didn't buy it.
She was about to say something else though Barren beat her to it, cutting her off before she could even speak."I know what should have happened," Barren explained, "I know what your story should have been-"
Anemone cut him off."Yeah, and so do we, you showed us all, remember?" She spoke with irritance before positioning herself next to Hazel, a little far to the left from Flame, with the rest of the group behind her.
Barren shook his head,
"Im not talking about that... I'm talking about who should have REALLY joined the Heathens..."Daniel's ears perked as he exchanged puzzled glances between his other teammates.
