Hazel walked through the cold, stone-carved mountain. Her claws scraped along the floor in small taps.
Apparently, Cricket and Sundew were somewhere down the hall, according to Moon, but she'd been walking for at least a few minutes and hadn't seen any signs of them.

The corridor was cold, very cold. A lone gust of wind crashed into her from behind, almost toppling her over.
Still, she regained her balance and kept moving forward.

Hazel scanned the area. There were a lot of different sleeping caves, but none of them contained dragons.
Every single one she passed was empty, besides some leftover scrolls and pieces of parchment.

Whatever happened, whoever used to be sleeping in the caves left in a rush, a very fast one.
She kept searching to no avail, at least not before another, stronger gust of wind attacked her.

This time, Hazel couldn't keep herself balanced, and she fell straight towards the stone floor.
However, she never actually hit it.

Quickly, two talons suddenly reached out and ended up stopping Hazel from crashing face-first into the stone.
As she gathered her bearings, she looked up to meet Cricket's worried and surprised eyes.

"You alright, Hazel!?" Cricket cried out as she helped her back to her talons.

Hazel nodded.
"Y-yeah... Thanks..."

"Anytime," Cricket smiled at her.

After Hazel gathered herself, she gave Cricket a puzzled look.
"Wait, how did you even react in time?"

Cricket shrugged.
"I nearly didn't," She stated. "If it wasn't for the fact I already heard you coming and decided to take a look who it was the second you fell, you would've definitely busted your teeth."

Hazel nodded.
"Right, well, I appreciate it,"

Cricket ignored her by asking a question of her own.
"Why are you here, Hazel?"

Hazel raised a brow.
"Huh-"

"Why are you here?" Cricket repeated.

Hazel shook her head in confusion.
"A-Am I not allowed to be here...?" She stuttered slightly, looking down.

Cricket sighed.
"No, it's not that... I just.." She paused for a moment.
"It's just that I thought you would've been with Flame? You know? Your boyfriend?"

Hazel's eyes widened very slightly.
"O-oh! Well, I mean, yeah, I guess that makes sense... But I wanted to talk to you,"

Cricket stepped back inside the sleeping cave before sitting down on one of the empty stone ledges.
The other one in the cave was being occupied by an unconscious Sundew.
"You want to talk... To me?"

Hazel nodded, "Yeah, I've got some stuff I need to set straight..."

Cricket shuddered slightly and visibly tensed up.
"I-Is this about what happened with F-Flame...?"
She stuttered slightly as her nerve kicked in.
"I-I didn't mean it!"

Hazel shook her head quickly.
"What?! No!" She paused for an awkward moment.
"Well... Okay, it is, but-"

"I already know what you're going to say,"
Cricket whispered sadly before letting out a breath.
"I'll stay away from Flame... And Sundew... and everyone who you want me to..."
She started to leave the cave.

Hazel stopped her.
"No. Don't leave."

Cricket's eyes widened.
"B-but!"

"I said, don't leave."
Hazel doubled down.
