Before anyone knew it, Moon and the rest of the group had successfully touched down at Jade Mountain Academy.
Currently, classes were still in session, so there weren't any students wandering through the halls... Or at least that's what it looked like.
The truth was the whole place seemed desolate, as if it was completely abandoned without a trace of life anywhere.
"Whoa... What... Where is everyone?" Anemone said as she landed next to Moon.
The Nightwing was the furthest inside the academy while everyone else was still just making their way inside.
"I don't know..." Moon paused, she closed her eyes and let out a breath.
"I can't hear anyone... There are no thoughts, or signs of life, no students... No teachers... Nothing..."
Anemone shuddered.
"Well, that's not what I wanted to hear..."
She sighed.
"So what now then?"
"Well, we still came here for a reason," Star suddenly interjected from out of nowhere, making Anemone jump.
"JEEZ!" Anemone placed a talon to her heart.
"Is it possible for you to NOT scare me, maybe?!"
Star shrugged.
"Not my fault, you didn't expect it."
Anemone was about to retaliate but decided to wasn't worth it.
"Whatever, so what exactly did we come here for then?"
"To get our old stuff," Moon stated,
"And also have a decently safe place to rest for a bit away from the Queens," She soon added.
Anemone nodded.
"Right..."
Soon after, however, Cricket made herself known as she walked up to them.
"Is there a place I can place her, maybe?"
She gestured to Sundew, who was still resting heavily on her back.
The three girls turned around to meet her.
"Oh! Uhm yeah! There should be a place somewhere..." Anemone looked around for a moment before pausing.
"Wait, why don't you just put her in your sleeping cave?"
"I don't want to risk it in case some of our Clawmates are still here."
"I doubt it," Moon stated.
"I would've heard their thoughts by now,"
"I'd still rather not risk it," Cricket stated.
Moon rolled her eyes.
"There's a hammock in my old sleeping cave, you can go there," She pointed down the hall with her claw.
"Just look for Jade Winglet and you'll find it."
Cricket nodded.
"Thanks,"
She walked off, carrying Sundew in the direction that Moon pointed to.
As Cricket walked off, Ostrich soon came by to replace her in the conversation.
"Hey guys! What are we talking about?"
She bounded close to the group.
"What's our next step?"
"Good question," Anemone stated.
"We honestly have no idea"
"What-*
Moon smacked Anemone on the head lightly.
"We do have an idea, thank you very much!"
She rolled her eyes.
"We're going to use this place as shelter for now while we figure out what to do next."
Ostrich's face fell.
"Sooo... We have no idea... Like Anemone said..."
Moon raised her talon to retaliate, but soon sighed.
"Yeah, we have no idea..."
Ostrich let out a disappointed breath.
"Ah... How joyful..."
"Well, we could always start by actually seeing whether there's anyone here..." Star pointed out.
"Just because you can't hear anyone doesn't mean they're not around,"
