"HAZEL!" Flame screamed as Barren's tail finished injecting what was easily more than a lethal amount of venom in a line across her eye.

Hazel was thrown upwards and backwards before landing on her side with a painful thud.
She didn't say anything, but the injury said enough.

Thick red blood gushed out from the diagonal wound as what looked like a black pus-like goop oozed and bubbled along its side.

There wasn't a doubt in the world that it wasn't anything close to natural..
Sandwing venom didn't behave like that, so whatever was currently dissolving the right side of her face was likely somewhat enchanted.

Flame rushed over to Hazel's side as fast as he could, rudely pushing past anyone in his way.
"No... Nonononononno..." He said quickly.

Flame cradled Hazel in his arms and wings, though the puss and blood didn't seem to slow down.
He placed a talon on the back of her head to support it.

Hazel groaned as her good eye opened up slightly.
"F-Flame...?" She coughed as some blood leaked into her mouth.

Flame shook his head from side to side in disbelief just as Anemone decided to join him.

"Three moons!" Anemone cried as she looked at the wound.

Flame switched his attention to Anemone.
"Anemone! Quick! Heal her! Please!"
There was a very visible look of desperation in his eyes.

Anemone looked at him with a hesitant face...
"I... I can't..." She finally said.

Flame's eyes widened.
"What do you mean you can't!? You're an animus!"

Anemone made a face.
"I was..."

Flame paused as he held Hazel tighter.
"What do you mean...?"

Anemone was about to respond when suddenly Daniel came charging towards them, barely stopping Barren from ripping his throat out.
"LOOK OUT!"

Anemone's eyes widened before she quickly shoved Flame and Hazel out of the way with a lunge.

The three of them toppled over as Daniel and Barren blurred past them.
Unfortunately for Anemone, Daniel's claw unintentionally slit open the tip of her tail.

Anemone screamed out in pain as her tail started bleeding.
The cut was a little deep, though not that large, however, it was still extremely painful.

As the trio crashed down, blood splattered across their scales while dirt was sprayed up into the air momentarily.

Anemone's cries were loud, very loud.
Everyone in the vicinity heard it, no doubt, including Coral.
The Seawing queen sprang into action and bolted to where Anemone, Flame, and Hazel were currently collapsed.

However, Coral's efforts were cut short when a menacing green-eyed shadow appeared right in her face.

Cora's eyes widened before she was pushed backwards, landing on her back and wings.
She looked up to see Karma staring down at her with malice.

"Where do you think you're going?" Karma snickered.

Coral growled, "Out of my way, worm, I've got a daughter to protect!"

Karma's eyes scowled, however, his smile stayed prominent.
"Make me."
He held his talon out in front of him, face up, as a large puff of smoke appeared just above it.
It lingered for a little bit of time before forming into a set shape.

It was the shape of the sword breaker that Turtle had before Anemone disintegrated it.
A few moments later, Karma grabbed the silhouette by where the handle would be.
