Blossom looked back at Daniel, her face shifted into a shocked and uneasy look.
Daniel nodded,
"Yeah... I know who you are, Death,"Blossom fell silent, at least for a few seconds. She analysed Daniel with great detail, examining every inch of his little human body.
Daniel took a step back, slightly overwhelmed by the beady pair of eyes that were scanning everything.
Eventually, Blossom stopped, leaned back into a more relaxed position.
Meanwhile, Ruin watched from the sidelines, unwilling to make a presence."You're... You're not normal... Are you?"
Blossom finally stated.Daniel's face fell.
"Oh wow, genius, what made you come to that conclusion?"Blossom rolled her eyes.
"It's not every day you encounter a talking scavenger, alright,""Human. Talking human," Daniel corrected.
"Whatever," She spat, "the point is that you're special... For some reason."
"Mhm... Well, now that we've established that, are you going to help us?"
Daniel looked at Blossom deeply.Blossom returned the look and was about to answer when suddenly Daniel heard a door slam open.
It didn't come from outside, though.Instead, there was another door Daniel hadn't seen within the front room of Blossom's house, next to the kitchen.
A voice immediately called out as they entered."Hey, Idiot! I need some-" The voice cut itself off.
Daniel whipped around, and his heart skipped a beat.
In front of him was another living shadow, it had golden, fiery eyes and mouth, and looked essentially frozen in time for a split second."Uhh... Is this a bad time...?" It asked.
A distorted and layered female voice made its way into Daniel's ears.
It was familiar to him... But he didn't know why...Daniel's eyes widened in fear, though before he could say anything, Ruin was already pouncing on her.
Ruin landed on the shadow's back and tackled it to the ground.
Both of them crashed into the counter that Daniel was standing on, causing it to wobble and shake.Daniel lost his balance and fell forward, a little too close to the edge of the counter for comfort, especially since there was no play to hold onto properly if he did fall off.
"Viper!" Blossom cried out with a fearful look as Ruin eventually overpowered and pinned the shadow to the ground.
"Ack!" The shadow grunted, shooting Blossom a desperate look.
"Blossom! Help me!"Blossom was quick on her talons; she swiftly but not aggressively pryed Ruin off the shadow, gently knocking him off to the side.
The whole fight was over before Daniel could react.
Though it wasn't like he was in much shape to do anything in the first place, especially in a human body. The shadow scrambled behind Blossom fearfully while Ruin gathered himself, shaking his head in the process.
The shadow peeked its head out from behind Blossom's back like a shy child.
"Blossom... Who are they...?"Ruin got himself up again.
"I think I should be the one asking that!" He growled. "Spectre."
There was a distasteful tone in his voice as he spoke. The shadow shrank back a little more, which Daniel found odd.
In his past encounters with shadows, they were always aggressive with little sympathy... 'Yet this one was... Scared?'
