Daniel's talons touched the ground as the last of the firey twister diminished with the few raindrops that started to fall from above.
The rain watered the blood-soaked ground, giving the various dead bodies a sort of wet shine as the last of the firelight flickered on them.
Daniel let out a sigh as he looked at the abundance of unmoving bodies of dragons that were once alive just a few hours ago.
He let the rain wash away his blood-soaked sickle, slowly revealing the deadly silver shine of metal. The battle was over... At least for now, though there was still a sort of uneasy feeling within Daniel that there was still more to come...
However, the thought was broken when he heard someone walking over towards him.
It was Blue and Cricket, they trotted over the dead bodies without a care in the world.Their claws and talons were red with blood, though it was slowly being washed away by the rain.
Cricket looked at the bodies, she didn't seem phased for the most part besides a few winces though that was likely from her own wounds rather than the dead dragons.
Blue smiled wickedly.
"Well... We won, right?"Daniel shrugged, "If you count genocide as winning then sure," he said as he switched his attention to Cricket.
"You're one of the only Hivewings left now..."Cricket nodded.
"Yeah..."
One word was all she could muster up to speak. She didn't exactly know how to react, she wasn't sad or angry or happy... She was just... Empty. An awkward silence settled between them but soon left as Daniel spotted more dragons in the distance.
The rest of the Leafwing and Silkwing tribes poked their heads out from the foliage of the Leafsilk Kingdom.
It was safe to say that most if not all of the dragons didn't know whether what they were seeing was real or not.
Upon spotting the Queens and his friends also watching.
Daniel decided to make his way over to them. The bystanders noticeably tensed up as Daniel walked victoriously over the bodies of the fallen.
Ruby met Daniel's eyes.
She seemed shaken by his monstrous performance but tried her absolute best to keep her composure as Daniel kept walking before stopping just a few paces away from her.The rest of the queens stayed silent, Hazel looked at Daniel a sort of grateful look but was still frightened by him.
Sequoia didn't know how to react, she seemed like she was looking at death itself.
Yet... It was she who spoke up first."Who... Who are you...?"
Daniel paused.
"I... Am Hurricane," He said. "But you can call me Reaper,"
He shot her a toothy smile.Ruby wasn't impressed.
"It's time to explain yourself, you've run from us for long enough, nowhere to go now,"Daniel raised a brow.
"I have plenty of places to go! It's not like you can stop me,"Ruby growled. "Enough games!" She took a step forward and glared at the dragonets in front of her.
"Explain yourselves!"Nobody said anything, even when Snowfall joined in the queens were met with silence.
"Yeah! Also! WHY ARE YOU HERE HAILSTORM!?" She switched her attention to Winter's brother.
"On second thought, WHY ARE YOU ALL HERE!? WHAT'S GOING ON?" She then looked at everyone else who was not part of the initial Heathen team. The rest of the queens stepped forward, including Sequoia who was mainly confused about the whole ordeal.
"You all owe us answers!" Thorn yelled.
She stared Daniel down but he didn't say anything.
