213: Infinite

You saw nothing for a moment, before opening your eyes.

That was weird... Maybe I'm just tired.

You walked through your apartment... well, penthouse. Everything seemed normal. The faint hustle and bustle of Tokyo could be heard from outside, the sun shining in through the windows.

"Y/N!" You heard from behind you, the opening and shutting of the main door ringing through the silent apartment. "I'm home! Brought some takeout... How about a kiss?" You could hear his faint giggling from the main door.

You walked to the main door. Why was this so nostalgic?

"'Toru..." You said softly, staring at him. Something was off... so off. He usually looked right up at you... he usually moved as quick as possible to you, even with his hands full.

He looked up in your direction, smiling. But as if he... saw through you. He wasn't looking at you.

"'Toru..." You called again, "Baby...?"

And just then, he walked ahead... right up to you... and then through you.

'What...'

"S-Satoru..." You said again, turning, looking at him. He walked to the kitchen, and you followed suit.

Just then.. you heard your own voice, down the corridor. "Takeout!?" You laughed, running up to him.

Your eyes widened as you stared at the sight of you hugging Satoru tightly, which he returned gladly. You looked at the soft look he gave you, how he peppered kisses on top of your head.

"Yeah, you said you were craving something... so I decided to get it on my way back." He smiled proudly.

You looked at how your own eyes lit up, the loving gaze you gave back to him.

"Oh, you're the best." You smiled widely.

"Time to call in another one of those kisses," he said, smiling widely. You chuckled in return, getting on your tip-toes, holding his face gently between your hands, pressing a kiss on his lips softly.

Right. I'm stuck in this damn realm.

You softly smiled, looking at this moment. This was from a week or two ago, pretty recent... When he made that like kisses deal.

"I still think this is the easiest deal ever." You said, grinning. "I like it, too..." You quietly murmured, a soft blush spreading across your cheeks. He smirked, "Yeah? Good." He chuckled, "Now... I bet you're dying to eat." He chuckled, moving so you could help yourself to some food as he went to grab some glasses to drink from.

And... you stood to the side, watching this. The memory slowly returning to your mind.

You were so out of it... But, you were beginning to remember everything, everything leading up to this moment.

You stood to the side, like a bystander, wishing to return to this moment once again.

You took it for granted, why didn't you treasure this more? Why couldn't you bask in the joy of that moment even more? Now, you would kill to go back.

You shuddered, placing a hand on the counter, rubbing your eyes, taking a deep breath to regain your composure. No matter how much you wished to reach out to him, you couldn't. Not here... not yet.
