0604- Don't Look Now

"I'm sorry I have to go to work." Logan tells me as he does his tie.

I love watching get ready for work.

I'm sat in bed with a hot coffee and the rest of my breakfast bagel.

Logan and I got up early enough to have breakfast in bed. My dad's not up yet, but Logan still got up and made breakfast.

We ate in bed and then he had a shower and got ready for work.

My dad told me I don't have to go back to school at all. I don't have to, but I feel guilty.

I can do work from home and my dad goes into school to get work for me. He understands that people are looking and with A still being out here, he wants me somewhere he can see me.

"It's okay, you're getting ready for our move." If we can move.

My dad's already got buildings being built and furnished for when it's time for us to get over there.

"You'll be a boss." I tell him and he scoffs.

"I still report to your dad." Logan kisses the side of my head. For now.

I really think my dad is turning Logan into the son he never had so Logan can take over the company when it's time.

"I love you, but I've got to run. I'm in a lot of meetings today." He tells me.

He leans down and kisses my lips.

"I love you." I tell him which makes him smile.

I watch him leave and once he's gone I start returning calls.

"Hey Ali, what did your dad say?" I immediately jump into the conversation. We don't have time for pleasantries.

"Charles is my brother, he was older than Jason. He was mentally ill and so they took him to Radley." Ali tells me immediately.

Oh my god. So where the hell is he now?

"So he's real and your dad can help us?" I get excited for this to end. Thank god.

I don't even know if I'll be able to sleep in this room again or even if I will be able to sleep till A is in prison.

"My dad can't help. Charles is dead. He killed himself when he was 16." She tells me.

Holy fuck.

Not what I was expecting.

"Oh my god! Ali I'm so sorry!" I say trying to be sensitive. But this isn't right.

Charles is A. He tortured us. He was in that dollhouse and he did all those things.

Let's not go there.

He can't be dead!

"The girls want to find proof of Charles being dead." She tells me.

That's not a bad idea. How do we know he's actually dead?

"Yeah that's a good idea." I tell her and she sighs.

"I've got to go." She ends the call. Right, okay.

Once the call has ended I get out of bed and get ready for the day before going over to Spencer's to talk to the others about what's going on and what she's found out about getting Charles Radley file.

"So if Charles died in Radley, it would say it in his patient file?" Hannah asks.

"Yeah." Spencer nods.

"What if he was released?" Emily asks.

"It would be noted there too." Spencer explains.

"So if we get that file, we get the truth." Aria points out.
