"Gracie?" Logan whispers as he walks into my bedroom.

"Mmm?" I hun out in response, too tired to say anything else.

"Did I wake you?" He asks and I groan.

He lets out a soft, quiet laugh as he heads towards the closet.

Once he comes back from getting changed and brushing his teeth, he climbs into bed beside me.

He doesn't lie facing me, more with his back to me. We don't cuddle every night, so it's not unusual for us to not cuddle, but this still feels like some sort of rejection. Maybe he's still angry about earlier.

I groan and he lets out another soft chuckle before turning to face me.

"You tired baby?" He asks and I give him a stiff nod.

He wraps me up in his arms and kisses the top of my head.

Find words.

Don't let him go to bed on this weird feeling.

"How'd it go at your parents?" I ask, very softly.

"All good, they're back together and engaged." He tells me and I jolt up at that.

"Let's not get excited when it's this late." He tries to coax me to lie back down.

"Engaged?!"

This time he nods, and closes his eyes.

"Logan! More! I need more information!"

Like did Byron have anything to do with Charlotte's death? Or was he just getting back together with Ella?

He cracks open an eye before sitting up and pulling me back to lie down with him.

"They've been back together for a while, they've been lying about it obviously, they didn't want to get anyone's hopes up. They think the time they took apart made them stronger." He tells me.

Holy fuck! This is crazy?

"And to be fair my dad hasn't been with anyone ever since him and my mom got divorced." Logan shrugs in acceptance.

"Yeah, only when they were married was the problem." I roll my eyes.

I feel him stiffen underneath me.

God Grace, you could try to use your brain sometimes!

"I'm sorry, I am. I'm glad they get a second chance with each other." I tell him.

"It's okay." Logan kisses my head again.

I apologise again before nuzzling into him.

"They're getting married a second time before our first." I tell Logan.

He doesn't react.

I tilt my head to see him already looking down at me.

"I promise it's coming. I want to marry you Gracie and spend the rest of whatever our lives entail, together." He reassures.
