Five years later

"Hey." I walk into Logan's office as he wraps up for the day.

"Hi darling." He smiles softly, opening his arms but not standing up.

Logan has a long list of names for me, I can't keep up with them but my favourites are darling and Gracie. Gracie because that's what he called me when I fell in love with him and Darling because it's so British and he sounds hot saying it.

I walk over to him and slip into his lap.

"What's that?" He asks putting his hands around my waist.

I hand him the letters in my hand, one court hearing and one letter from Ali.

Dear Grace,
There isn't much time but I wanted you to see these words on paper and not on a screen. I wanted to know you were touching something I touched, that we were connected.

We've been through things no other friends have experienced. We understand each other better than anyone else in the world.

BUT, all that connects us to someone else. Someone I love. Someone who needs me.

I know you're coming back to Rosewood, to speak to the court about Charlotte being released. I'm asking for five minutes with you. Five minutes to explain. Five minutes that can change the whole world.

Grace, I need you please.

All my love,
Allison x.

As he reads the letter, I nuzzle into his neck.

"Holy shit." He says looking back and forth between both the letters.

"Talk to me Gracie, how are you feeling?" He asks, pulling me back from him so he can look at my face and tell if I'm really okay.

"I need to get a flight out tomorrow morning." I tell him.

"I suppose I can grant you the time." He laughs making a note on a post it.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He asks stroking my hair back off of my face.

"You don't have to, I know it's a lot on short notice." I say and gesture to his office. He's important here, he can't just up and leave.

"I would rather be with you through this Gracie." He uses the oldest nickname he has for me and it still makes me feel warm inside.

"Will you be able to?" I ask and he nods.

"Absolutely. I'm going to have to stay late." He tells me and moves closer to his desk and starts typing away on his computer.

"There's a flight out of Heathrow at 4:30am, but there's not another direct flight until 8pm?" He offers.

"Four am will do. I'll go and see Lily now and then go home and pack." I tell him.

He makes a weird frown whilst typing in some details.

"What is it?" I ask.

"There's only one seat available." He tells me. "I can work tomorrow and come later in the week? That way I can leave with you now and see Lily and not have to stress right now?" He offers.

"I can do this alone Logan." I tell him whilst nodding my head.

"I don't want you to." He turns to me again.

"I'll be okay and I won't stay for long, I'll be back by the end of the week." I tell him and he frowns.

"Are you sure?" He asks and I nod.
