I find the spare key under a plant pot and break into the house.

I lock the door behind me and head to Logan's room as quietly as possible.

Pushing open Logan's bedroom door, I quickly close it behind me.

I kick my shoes off and drop the key on to his desk.

"Gracie?" He questions.

I turn to look at him and give him an awkward wave.

"How did you get here?" He asks pushing himself up slightly. He pulls the comforter back and puts his arm out so I can get into bed beside him.

"I walked." I slip into bed as he puts his arm around me.

"You shouldn't have walked, you should've text me, it's late and dark." He squeezes me close to him.

"Im okay." I tell him.

He lies us back down with me in his arms.

"I couldn't sleep without you." Logan admits.

"Me either." I nod.

I hold his free hand in mine and squeeze it.

"We tell each other the truth Gracie, I don't want that to ever stop. Whatever the truth is, good, bad or ugly." He tells me and I just nod. Of course I know that.

"I'm sorry." I apologise. "I was just trying to figure out what was going on before I worry you with it." I tell him.

He nods at that.

"Well, did you? Figure it out?" He asks and I groan.

"Of course I didn't, I have no fucking clue what's going on other than the fact that they threatened Lily and we just got all of it sorted and for what? The police here think I have something to do with what happened to Charlotte which could throw me back into jail, so could whatever this fucking new version of A is doing." I ramble.

"This isn't going to touch Lily, she's safe." He promises me.

"You can't promise that. Not after everything that happened last time. I think after the wedding, you should go and keep her safe in London." I tell him.

"I'm not leaving you here." He sits up.

"Please, I'll be fine, but she's just a kid and she needs stability. Let her find that in you. Go and be there for her, please." I beg, sitting up with him.

He looks distraught.

"Gracie." He sighs and shakes his head.

"You have to. She needs one of us and I have to be here." I tell him.

"No Gracie, no. Just come with me." He begs and I shake my head.

"I can't leave otherwise Lily and you really won't be safe." I tell him.

"Promise me you'll go." I plead.

"Let's talk about this after the wedding." He tells me.

I give in and move my head into his chest.

"This is not the same game as it was before." He tells me in an attempt to calm me down.

"Exactly, I've got so much more to lose now." I tell him as he lies down.

"You're not going to lose me, no matter what." He  promises me.

"Don't promise me that when we don't know what's coming." I tell him.

"I don't care." He takes my head from his chest and into his hands. "I love you, I'm not going anywhere." He leans in and kisses me. "Tell me what I can do to make up for looking through your phone."
