"Yes, let's start", Nandini says excitedly with a bright smile.
"If I say i'm not ready, will you stop? No, right. So what's the use of asking these irrevelant questions?" a grumpy Manik said with irritation as he was forced to sit by Nandini for this interview.
They both sat together in the couch, Nandini dressed in a light yellow sundress while Manik is in his simple linen white shirt and grey trousers. She looked happy to be here while he is absolutely unhappy complaining that they could've used this time for their own date instead of being here.
Nandini poked him, "Be nice" she muttered to him before smiling back at the interviewer/writer of their story.
Your first impression?
Nandini looked at Manik with a small smile before she started answering, "I heard his voice first and then saw his face. So, yes, you could easily say i was attracted to him in college for his looks. Then slowly his intelligence, there was something so mature and distant about him back then. I kept looking for him. He seemed so perfect, yeah, that's my first impression, I guess", she smiled awkwardly at the end.
"She cries prettily", came a quick answer from Manik with straight face and Nandini looked at him baffled before hitting his shoulder for honesty.
What do you like the most about your partner?
"Hmm.. Manik? His smile, the real one which he rarely shows to the world. He looks really handsome when he is happy. So i like the most when he smiles. And when he cooks or organizes. He looks so domestic and comfortable, warm when he feeds me his food. I also love when he is in his zone, working in hospital, he looks so cool. I admire him and respect him a lot. This is such a tough question. I can write pages about him, he he", Nandini giggled as her cheeks turned rosy.
"I like the most? What stupid question is that, i like her all. Everything. I love everything about Nandini", with a straightforward answer, Manik also threw a glare at the interviewer for asking him such an obvious question.
What was your best surprise that your partner gave you?
Nandini's eyes shone with excitement and happiness, "Again, not to brag but I have a lot. Hmm... if I have to choose one, then it's when my mother kicked me out and Manik changed his entire flat for me, according to what i like just so that he can convince me to live with him. Of course, i agreed, i can never say no to him. But yes, at that moment, i felt so loved by him. It was such a happy memory, he was there when i was so down", saying that she held his hand gently and he immediately interlocked their hands together.
"Best surprise she gave me? It's personal. I don't wish to tell you", Manik answered.
