Chapter 16

I wake up when only Dean is awake. He smiles at me and I get up and go into the kitchen area. There isn't tons of room in here. We sit there talking quietly. "We should do something to wake them." He says. I don't want to. I just want to relax with you." I say as I wrap my arms around his waist and put my head on his chest and listen to his heart beating. "What are you thinking of?" I ask. "Alarm clock by their ear?" He asks. I shrug and we grab our phones. I go over to Roman and set the alarm for one minute from now. I put it by his ear and it rings causing him to jump slightly but be wide awake. He glares at me but immediately stops when he sees Dean doing it to Paige. "Good morning." I say once everyone is awake as I sit on my bed. "I hate you." Paige says. Dean shrugs and lays on the bed next to me. "Not the first person to say that." I say. "Thanks." Dean says sarcastically. We eventually stopped talking and ate breakfast. Dean and I had decided to go out to cross fit. I hadn't ever gone. After 5 hours Dean and I are covered in sweat. We decide to head back to the hotel and shower off. We take one together because no one is in there. We get dressed and decide to go out to get ice cream. We both didn't really want real food. We eat there and constantly get asked about us but we don't answer directly. We finish ice cream and go back to the hotel. We lay on the bed and he starts messing with my hair when the door opens. Roman and Paige walk in together. "Where were you guys?" I ask. "The gym. What about you?" Roman asks. "We went to crossfit and then ice cream." I say. "Cool." They say.
Timeskip
Dean, Roman, Paige and I head out for dinner. When we all finish eating we go back to the hotel and have a couple drinks. Dean gets up and says he will be back. He gets up and walks out. "What do you think he's doing?" Paige asks. "Well, probably smoking." I say. "You don't?" Roman asks. "He did get me to smoke. I don't see the enjoyment though." I say. When Dean and I did smoke together I don't find it the best thing ever but I would do it once every blue moon. "I feel like he ran away." Roman says. "I doubt he'd do that." Paige says. "I don't know he's unpredictable." I say. Five minutes later Dean walks in and sits next to me. He wraps an arm around me. I smell smoke and a tiny bit of his cologne. I nod a little. I like the smell of the cologne mixed with smoke. It also makes me smell like him when I wear his leather jacket. "How's children doing?" I ask. "Uhm good. A good fact. Newborns don't cry real tears for about a month after they are born." Paige says. "Were you reading a parenting book?" I ask. "No. I would buy tons of snapple and read the lids and I'm not sure if its true because I read another that said half of the snapple facts aren't true." Paige says. I act like I'm interested. "Oh, no way please tell me more." I say. She hits me in the back of the head. Dean and Roman look at each other then Paige and I. "Wait did we miss something?" Dean asks. "Just my abusive relationship." I say. "I can be abusive if you want." Paige says. "Pretty much abusive considering we are always beating each other up." I say. "Yeah, but I can abuse you and you still love me." Paige says with a smirk. "If that'll make you feel better we will go with that." I say playfully. The rest of the night was a giant blur that I don't remember at all.
Timeskip to Monday
We moved to another city and I got word that Kris would be there. Dean and I had five minutes till we had to leave. "Hey AJ. We've been dating for a little while and I really see something different than anyone else in you." He says. "Okay." I say. "I just want your opinion on something. Do you want kids or even marriage?" He asks. "Uhm, marriage I'm totally fine with but I want to retire from in ring action before I even think about kids. What about you?" I say. "I don't know. Its something that seems so far away but I feel that anyone at our age should already have it but this business comes first." He says. That was so smart. I kiss him and he kisses back for a few seconds till the door opens. "Ew! Gross." Paige says. Dean and I stop kissing. "You signed up for being in the same room as us." I say. "True. You ready?" Roman asks. We nod and leave the hotel. We all head into the car. Paige sits next to me and Dean and Roman sit in the front. Dean drives. "I'm gonna sing whether you like it or not." Dean says. "That means that I should put my head phones in." I say before tuning out the singing till Paige taps my shoulder and shows me this video. I chuckle a little. "Hey, Dean. You a ladies man?" I ask. "I've gotten a few in my day." Hr says with a smirk. "That's nice." I say sarcastically. "I'm a nice guy." He says. After about thirty minutes we arrive at the airport. We hop on the flight and get the rental car. We go to the hotel and drop our bags off. We all take a nap till its time to go to Raw. I drive us their and we all take our bags and head to our locker rooms. I get in my ring gear. Tonight I'm doing a bit of a throwback and wearing my old blue ring gear. Ten minutes before the show a producer brings me into this room and he tells me to talk about Kris. He says action. "Kris wasn't like any make a wisher that I've seen. He had high spirits even if his health wasnt high. He put a smile on my face as soon as he walked through the door. He was the most down to earth kid ever and you couldn't tell he was sick when you met him. He kept morale up and I can say that I made a new friend and I hope the world loves the Stone Cowboy like I do." I say. "Okay, now talk about the chess match." He says. "He and I played chess and I was doing great. I didn't try and let him win but only a few moves and he beat me just like that." I say. "Thank you. Sorry for the last minute." The guy says. I shrug and walk out. I hang out with everyone until its time for my match. I give Dean a kiss as I go to the curtain. If I'm not mistaken Kris should be out there. Nikki goes out there first then Me. I skip out and the ring announcer says blah blah blah and I point over to the timekeepers area where Kris is. He rings the bell slowly. Nikki and I lock up. She punches me a few times in the face and as I'm down she kicks me in the back then the face and goes for a submission move. I go to the ropes and she lets go at four. She then distracts the ref and Brie slaps me right across the face. I grip the ropes tightly. I kick Nikki in the face and as I go to hit her with the tornado DDT and she rolls through countering my move. I go for a leg sweep and she counters it by going infor the rack-attack. No matter what I do she counters. I elbow her in the face to step out of it and I feel a pop and a crack in the jaw. I cringe a lot at the fact I think I just broke her jaw. She holds her jaw tightly and I go and pin her, but Brie jumps on the ropes and distracts the ref. Paige comes running out the back and takes care of Brie. I pin her again and I win as she rolls out of the ring. Kris rings the bell as Paige gets in the ring and raises her title in the air. I kick her in the gut and hit her with a front drop kick and she drops her title. I pick it up and rest it on her as she eventually gets up and leaves the ring. Medical people tend to Nikki. They take her backstage with Brie right by her side. Raw goes off the air, then Stephanie and Hunter walk out to the ring. I grab a microphone as they enter the ring. "So today, there is a special kid here tonight, he rung the bell for my match and I feel it would be wrong if I didn't address him." I say. Kris walks into the ring with the help of his mom. I give him a high five, and Hunter and Stephanie do too. "This is Kris othersise known as..." I say as my voice trails off. "The Stone Cowboy." He says with a smile. "I have a new tag team partner and its the Stone Cowboy. He and I are gonna dominate the WWE locker room." I say. "I think that we might dominate." Hunter says with a smile. "No, no, no. I think Kris can beat you." Stephanie says. "Oh yeah?! Prove it. Pin me in this ring. One two three." Hunter says. "I'm gonna ref." I say. The bell rings and Hunter gets prepared for a sit up. I whisper in his ear "Pin him now." I say. He nods and goes over. He pins him and I count and the bell rings. "Well, I think this makes you apart of the WWE roster." Stephanie says. "Really?" He asks excitedly. "Yeah. You've proved yourself. Tonight you are an honorary WWE superstar." Hunter says. "I want to say this even though it isn't important. He is less than half of my age and he is taller than me." I say. He smiles. After a few more minutes and tons of tears shed by his mom we go backstage. Everyone highfives him. When it's Deans turn he gives Kris a high five and gives me a hug and says "You did good." "Thanks." I say. "You have a match tomorrow?" I ask. "No." Dean says. "Hey, Krissy. We have to head home. You have treatment tomorrow." His mom says. "Okay." He says. He hugs me and says "I have had so much fun. Thank you." I nod. "No problem. Thank you for being you." I say. He nods and leaves. "You haven't worn that in a while." Dean says. I shrug. "Well, I'm going to change." I say. "No, you look hot." Dean complains. "Sorry, I'm cold." I say. "You have my jacket still?" He asks. "Yeah, let me change." I say. He follows me and goes into my locker room with me. I take off my ring gear and Dean walks over from behind me and puts his hands on my hips and kisses my neck. I'm about to react when a scold myself and say "Can I finish changing?" I ask. "But you looked so perfect." He says. He removes his hands and sits back down. I get changed without any distractions. We head out and Stephanie stops me. "Hey, AJ. Great job out there with Kris and that match with Nikki. Except for an injury sustained." She says. "What happened?" I ask. "Well, you broke her jaw and she will be out for at least two months. Her jaw will be wired shut for a little bit. If you want you can see her jaw." I don't like Nikki but I want to see the damage I caused. "Can  I?" I ask Dean. "Sure. I want to see this." Dean says. She leads us the trainers room. John, Brie and Nikki sit in there. Nikki has an ice pack on her jaw. She removes it to show me. It looks awful. She puts it back on her face. "So, we will send you to the hospital for surgery and further evaluation." He says. Dean and I leave and head to the hotel. I open the door and see Kaitlyn, Paige, Roman and Daniel sitting in there. "Hi." I say as we set our stuff down in the corner for one of us to do laundry. I sit on the bed and Dean sits on the floor in front of me. "How was tonight?" Roman asks. "Weren't you there?" I ask. "I was probably in the shower while you had your match." Roman says. "I watched it! Great job." Paige says. "Thanks. I had a great match and broke Nikki's jaw. So that's always great." I say. "Wait really?" Daniel asks. "Yeah." I say. Daniel laughs. "Well, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to deal with this. Bye." He says. He leaves. "Kaitlyn what are you doing here?" I ask. She retired a little bit ago. "Did you forget I live in Texas?" She asks. "Sorta." I say. "Wow. Pay attention to me." She says. "Sorry. I knew you were from Texas." I say. She chuckles. "Okay, I have to go. I have a little bit of catching up with someone to do." She says before grabbing her stuff, giving me a hug and walking out. It stays quiet for a minute then I say "Why's everyone so quiet?" "Shh. Its quiet time." Dean says. "Fine. I'll be right back." I say. I grab my jacket and go outside. I sit out on a bench for a little bit. As I'm going into the building Punk stops me. "Hey shortie. You okay?" He asks. "I'm fine, just getting a bit of fresh air." I say. "Well, as fresh as possible considering its Texas." He says. "Wow. Anyways I better get back to my friends." I say as I start to walk past him. "Or maybe we could hang out, you and I can go out to dinner." He says. "Not interested and as much as I want to know what your doing here I'm not gonna ask." I say as I go into the elevator. I open the door to our room and set my jacket down. "Where'd you do?" Paige asks. "I went to do nothing." I say. Paige eyes me suspiciously but I shrug it off  and change before laying down in bed. I don't know when Dean joined me in bed but I was halfway asleep. I woke up the next morning and they are on a plane flying to london. I'm no longer that important in the division they are bringing people that haven't proved themselves. I get to go home for a week. Not as glorious of a time off as I wanted but still great. I feel that when I'm not champion I get cast aside. When they are in London I'll be in New Jersey with my family. Speaking of family my phone starts ringing. I check and see its my brother. Dean was the only one who heard it. He was awake. I answered it and put some shoes on. "Hello." I say as I head out the door. "Hey! AJ. I've missed you, long time no see. When can we see you again?" He asks. "I'm gonna be there this week. Raw & Smackdown in London and I'm not going, so I thought I'd visit you for a week then drive to New York." I say. "That's be great. I'll see you then?" I ask. "Yeah. You will." He say. "Okay, bye." I say. "No, wait there was one other thing. Are you getting your title match?" He asks. "Yeah, think so." I say. I then hang up and walk back into the hotel room. I kick my shoes off andlay next to Dean. I cuddle close to him and end up falling asleep. I wake up again and everyone is already awake. "You ready to leave?" Paige asks me. "I guess." I say. We all leave the hotel and head to the airport. I help Dean return the rental. My flight leaves thirty minutes before theirs, so I had to get everything together long before them I went through security with them. I went to my gate and waited till it was time to go. When it was time to board I got on and the woman beside me had this baby next to her. I didn't want any part of her so as soon as it was allowed I turned on the TV. I watched whatever was on. I decided to text my brother. He lives like down the street from the airport.
A-Can you pick me up from the airport when I land?
Twenty minutes later he answers.

When we are about ten minutes before landing I text Robert and say
A-About to land
When we land I go to luggage claim and as I get my bag another hand grabs it. I look over and see Robert. "Hi." I say. "Hey AJ. You want to go to Moms house or mine?" He asks. "Moms." I say. My mom let me live there with her. I pay for the rent when I'm there. We get to Moms house and I ask "Does she know I'm here?" "No, but Erica is there." He says as we pull up. He parks and I grab my bags and he hands me the keys to the house. I unlock the door and open it. "Mom?" I say. She looks over at me from the living room and gasps. "AJ!" She shouts happily. "Hi." I say as I give her a hug. I give Erica a hug. (For those that don't know AJ is the youngest. She has a brother Robert and a sister Erica) "What are you doing here?" She asks. "I have a week off so I'm here." I say. "That's great." She says with a smile. "I have tickets to Raw next Monday. Do you want to go?" I ask. She hasn't ever seen me wrestle live so I hope she can go. She shrugs. "I have a book to read." She says. "I have to help her." Erica says. "Wait, you guys haven't seen me wrestle live." I say. "Maybe next time." She says uninterested. I go into my room and call some old friends and say "I'm in Jersey. Want to hang out?" "We'd love to. I haven't seen you in a little bit." Gracie says. I assume she is with Sarah.
